The town works well as a base for RV travellers because it puts state-park camping, private RV parks, and Lake Hartwell within a short drive, while grocery stores, propane, and dump stations are easy to reach off US-123. The closest paid options are private parks in and around Easley and Piedmont, including Ivy Acres RV Park, Eden Farm RV Park, and Springwood RV Park. These typically offer full hookups and are suited to nightly, weekly, or longer stays. Ivy Acres RV Park in Piedmont sits on 77 acres with more than three miles of wooded walking trails and private river access to the Saluda River, and every site includes full hook-ups with 20/30/50 amp service, water, and sewer, with big-rig-friendly pull-thru sites available. For state-park camping, the nearest large destination is Table Rock State Park, about 30 minutes northwest near Pickens. The park provides a 69-site camping area near the park entrance and a 25-site camping area near the White Oaks picnic area. Each site has individual water and electrical hookups and a picnic table, some sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet, and both campgrounds are convenient to restrooms with hot showers. South Carolina State Parks, including Table Rock and its White Oaks camping loop, are reserved through the official state-parks reservation system online or by phone. Reservations may be made up to 13 months in advance. Maximum length of stay is 14 nights and minimum length of stay is 2 nights, and some parks have longer minimum stay requirements during peak season and holidays. Nightly campsite rates are based on location, demand, season, and site amenities. For same-day reservations, campers should call the park directly, since reservations requested less than one day in advance of check-in must be made through the park. Private parks such as Ivy Acres RV Park, Eden Farm RV Park, Creekside Campground at Table Rock, and Springwood RV Park take bookings directly through their own websites or through third-party booking platforms. Popular summer weekends and Clemson football weekends can sell out weeks ahead, so lock in dates early if travel is tied to an event.
