Campgrounds near Golden Grove, South Carolina
Golden Grove is a small community in Greenville County in South Carolina's Upstate, positioned within a short drive of the Greenville metro area and the southern foothills of the Blue Ridge. The surrounding landscape blends rolling piedmont farmland, hardwood forest, and the monadnock rise of Paris Mountain, which gives RV travelers a mix of full-hookup private parks and a state park campground within roughly a half-hour radius.
Private options closest to Golden Grove include Ivy Acres RV Park, Springwood RV Park, and Eden Farm RV Park, all set on the quieter rural roads south and west of Greenville. Group and youth camping is available at Girl Scouts of South Carolina–Mountains to Midlands property. For a public-land experience with hiking, swimming, and paddling on-site, Paris Mountain State Park sits just north of downtown Greenville.
The area works well as a base for exploring downtown Greenville, the Swamp Rabbit Trail, and day trips west toward Table Rock and Caesars Head or north into the North Carolina mountains.
Things to do near Golden Grove
Paris Mountain State Park anchors the outdoor options. The park covers roughly 1,540 acres with about 17 miles of hiking and biking trails, four lakes (Lake Placid, Mountain Lake, Buckhorn Lake, and North Lake), and a designated swimming area at Lake Placid open during summer. Mountain bikes are not allowed on park trails on Saturdays, so plan riding for other days. Self-serve kayak rentals operate daily at Lake Placid through an automated kiosk near the lake.
Off-park attractions include downtown Greenville's Falls Park on the Reedy River, the paved Swamp Rabbit Trail for family cycling, and short drives to Table Rock State Park, Caesars Head, and Jones Gap for waterfall hikes. Anglers can fish the park lakes; private boats are not permitted at Paris Mountain.

The Upstate has a humid subtropical climate, so the RV season effectively runs year-round, but conditions shift sharply by month. Spring brings wildflowers, mild days, and the region's wettest stretch, with March typically the rainiest month. It is a strong window for hiking before humidity and biting insects arrive.
Summer is hot and muggy, with afternoon thunderstorms common from June through August. Paris Mountain's swimming area and boat rentals operate during the summer season, and demand for campsites climbs on weekends and holidays. Book well ahead for June through early August.
Fall delivers the most comfortable camping weather: cooler nights, lower humidity, and hardwood color that peaks in late October and early November in the surrounding foothills. Winter is cool rather than harsh, with freezing overnight lows possible from November into April but daytime highs that usually rise above freezing. Snow is rare and typically light.

This was an incredible camping experience! It was the ideal way to camp, as we had always used tents before. It was fantastic that the RV was delivered and ready to use! There was ample space for my family to enjoy the room without feeling cramped. A big storm rolled in, and it was a great place to come together and use the appliances inside to cook dinner and watch a movie as a family. I highly recommend this rental for anyone seeking a great camping stay, and for anyone who has always wanted to try out the RV experience!

Everything was Awesome, enjoyed working with The love birds. I would recommend anyone to use them. This was my first rv rental. Everything was explained to me how to work it. If I had any questions they were there to walk me through it.

Only problem we had was some little black ants - but I think that was as much to do with the rain as anything. Great communication and responsiveness. Would rent from them again if back in the area.
