The community sits along the SC-215 corridor a few miles south of the city of Union and roughly an hour by road from Spartanburg, Columbia, and Greenville. For RV travelers, this puts several state parks and a well-regarded KOA within easy towing distance. Additional options within about an hour include Chester State Park to the east, the Newberry / I-26 / Sumter NF KOA Journey to the south, and private grounds such as Pine Ridge Campground and Spacious Skies Peach Haven near Gaffney. The surrounding landscape is rolling hardwood and pine forest with lakes, creeks, and access to portions of the Sumter National Forest and the Palmetto Trail. Sites in the area suit tent campers, travel trailers, and larger motorhomes, though maximum RV lengths vary by campground.

South Carolina State Park campsites at Croft and Chester are booked through the state parks reservation system, either online or by calling 1-866-345-PARK. Reservations may be made up to 13 months in advance, and a minimum stay of two nights applies. Same-day reservations, or those requested less than one day out, must be made directly with the park. The Newberry / I-26 / Sumter NF KOA Journey books through the KOA website or by phone, with pull-through RV sites, tent sites, and cabins available. Spacious Skies Peach Haven and Pine Ridge Campground accept reservations through their own websites. At South Carolina State Parks, cancellations made 30 or more days out incur a small administration charge, while cancellations 15 to 29 days out are charged the cost of the first night, and cancellations 14 days or less forfeit the full deposit.
