This was an incredible camping experience! It was the ideal way to camp, as we had always used tents before. It was fantastic that the RV was delivered and ready to use! There was ample space for my family to enjoy the room without feeling cramped. A big storm rolled in, and it was a great place to come together and use the appliances inside to cook dinner and watch a movie as a family. I highly recommend this rental for anyone seeking a great camping stay, and for anyone who has always wanted to try out the RV experience!

How to book campgrounds near Pelzer
Private parks around Pelzer, including Eden Farm RV Park, Ivy Acres RV Park, Springwood RV Park and Scuffle Town Usa RV Park, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Third-party listings on Campspot and similar platforms also cover several of these locations.
Corps of Engineers campgrounds on Lake Hartwell are booked through Recreation.gov. Hartwell Lake is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and includes eight campgrounds around the reservoir, so holiday and summer weekends should be locked in as early as possible.
For state park sites in the region, reservations may be made up to 13 months in advance through the South Carolina State Parks reservation portal, and campsite rentals are typically accepted for a two-night minimum, with some parks increasing minimums during busier periods.
What to expect on the ground
Private parks near Pelzer skew toward full-hookup, pull-through sites suited to larger rigs. Eden Farm RV Park lists full hookups, 20/30/50 amp service, pull-throughs, a dump station, laundry, cable TV, a pool and a playground, which is representative of the amenity level renters can expect at the closer-in options.
Corps of Engineers campgrounds on Lake Hartwell run on stricter rules. Check-in is 3 p.m., check-out is 2 p.m., alcoholic beverages are prohibited, and the maximum stay is 14 days within a 30-day period. Gates typically lock at 10 p.m. and reopen at 7 a.m., so late arrivals need to plan around posted hours.
Cell coverage is generally reliable across Anderson and Greenville counties. Roads to private parks are paved and RV-friendly. Some lakeside Corps sites involve steeper approaches, so renters with longer trailers should review site photos and length limits before booking.

Good news, your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Pelzer for the vast majority of rigs on RVezy. South Carolina only requires a Class E non-commercial license for motorhomes with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 pounds, and a Class F for combinations over that weight. Almost every Class B campervan, Class C motorhome, and travel trailer on RVezy falls well under that threshold. Booking an RV rental in Pelzer is low-risk because RVezy (not individual hosts) sets the cancellation policy across the platform, and it includes a money-back grace period right after you book. Refund amounts depend on how far in advance you cancel, and RVezy support can also help when trip-disrupting events occur, such as a sudden Upstate ice storm or severe thunderstorm. You'll see the full details during the booking flow and in your RVezy account. Pro tip: book early to lock in the Lake Hartwell or Clemson dates you want, and reach out to RVezy support if plans change. southcarolinaparks.com/paris-mountainCan the RV be delivered to my campsite in Pelzer?
Yes, RV delivery Pelzer is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-timers who don't want to drive a big rig themselves. They'll level it, hook up water and electric, and walk you through every system before they leave. Use the Delivery filter when searching to see who offers it and their delivery radius. Pro tip: delivery fees are usually based on mileage, so booking a host based in Anderson, Greenville, or Easley keeps the cost low.

July and August bring real Upstate heat (highs near 90°F) and afternoon thunderstorms, so you'll want strong air conditioning and a shaded site. Winters are mild but can dip into the 20s in January, with occasional snow flurries (Pelzer averages under three inches of snow per year). Pro tip: late October is peak fall color in the nearby Blue Ridge foothills, making it the photographer's favorite window for a Pelzer RV trip.
weather.gov/gsp/I've never driven an RV before. Can I really do this?

The roads around Pelzer are forgiving (mostly flat to gently rolling rural highways), making this a great region to build confidence before tackling the Blue Ridge Parkway. If driving feels intimidating, choose a delivery-only host and let them set the RV up at your campground. Pro tip: a Class C motorhome or a 20 to 25-foot travel trailer is the sweet spot for first-timers, big enough to live in, small enough to handle.

Pro tip: before pulling away from the pickup, save the RVezy support number and your host's phone number in your contacts, snap a photo of the tire pressure sticker, and ask the host where the spare tire and fuse box are. Five minutes of prep saves hours of stress.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Pelzer RV rental across state lines into Georgia, North Carolina, or beyond?

Travel into Mexico is not allowed on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage doesn't extend there. Canadian trips may be allowed depending on the host, so message them first. Pro tip: confirm any specific route restrictions with your host before booking and screenshot the conversation, that way everyone's on the same page from day one.

To avoid issues, do a thorough walkthrough at pickup, photograph any existing scratches or dents, and return the RV clean with the fuel and propane at the agreed levels.
