The town is a practical base for RV travelers who want quiet state park camping within a short drive, plus easy access to Aiken, Augusta, and the Columbia metro. Two South Carolina state parks bracket the town. Barnwell State Park, located just outside the town of Blackville, South Carolina, lies east of Williston and centers on three small lakes filled with a variety of crappie, bream, bass and catfish plus Civilian Conservation Corps era structures.
