Warriors' Path State Park anchors the outdoor scene, with hiking trails ranging from paved accessible paths to strenuous climbs, more than eight miles of mountain bike trails designated as a National Recreational Trail, an eighteen-hole golf course, and a marina on Fort Patrick Henry Lake with boat and kayak rentals. Families gravitate to the Boundless Playground, an ADA-accessible play area unique to the Tennessee State Park system, and the Lions Narnia Braille Trail with sensory stations. Appalachian Caverns Campground in Blountville pairs camping with guided cave tours and a gem mine. Bristol Motor Speedway, Bays Mountain Park, and the Kingsport Greenbelt add motorsports, wildlife exhibits, and paved biking within a short drive.

The Tri-Cities region has a humid subtropical climate with four distinct seasons: warm, humid summers, cool wet winters, and long shoulder seasons that suit RV travel. Summer brings the heaviest tourist traffic, particularly during Bristol Motor Speedway race weekends, when private parks near Blountville book far in advance. Spring and fall are prime windows for hiking and lake activities, with cooler nights and lower humidity. Wildflowers bloom along state park trails in spring, and fall color across the Appalachian foothills peaks in mid to late October. Rainfall is spread through the year, with February typically the wettest month and summer bringing afternoon thunderstorms. At Warriors' Path State Park, ninety-four of the one hundred thirty-four sites offer electric and water hookups year-round, while the remaining forty sites are seasonal and generally close for the colder months. Snowfall is possible from December through March but rarely accumulates enough to block access.

At Warriors' Path, Main Campground sites include water and electric hookups, a grill, and a fire ring, with restrooms and heated showers on site. The Moody Bluff loop offers deluxe sites with water, electric, and sewer, including nine pull-through sites and some that can accommodate rigs up to seventy-five feet. The check-in station and camp store sit near the Main Campground entrance, and the store carries firewood, snacks, and basic gear. Only certified heat-treated wood or downed wood collected inside the park may be burned, to protect against invasive pests. Sites tend to be shaded and wooded, with some tight or sloped pads, so RV renters with larger rigs should read individual site notes carefully. The park is about two and a half miles from I-81, with gas, groceries, and shopping just outside the gate.
