Campgrounds and RV parks near Sneedville, TN

Sneedville is the seat of Hancock County in northeast Tennessee, tucked between Clinch Mountain to the south and Newman's Ridge and the Powell Mountains to the north near the Virginia border. It is one of the most rural and isolated counties in the state, which keeps traffic light and campgrounds quiet compared with the Smokies corridor. The Clinch River is the region's defining feature. It sustains one of the highest concentrations of imperiled freshwater mussels and fish in North America, with dozens of rare mussel and fish species documented in its waters. Slow Class I stretches suit beginner paddlers and families, while the tailwater below Norris Dam is stocked with rainbow and brown trout by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. RV travelers typically base out of small private parks along the river or on nearby ridges. Options in the area include Greenlees Fall Creek Campground, Rock Bottom Horse Camp, Mammoth Ridge RV Park, Clinch River Valley Family Campground Llc, and Mountain Pass Campground, which sit within reasonable driving distance of Sneedville and Cumberland Gap National Historical Park.

Private RV parks near Sneedville are booked directly with each property by phone, website, or listing platform.
