Campgrounds and RV parks near Bartonville, TX

Bartonville is a small town in Denton County, Texas, positioned between Interstate 35W and Interstate 35E along Farm to Market 407, roughly eight miles south of Denton and a short drive west of Lewisville. The town itself covers only about 6.2 square miles and has no campground within its borders, but it sits between two major reservoirs: Grapevine Lake to the south and Lewisville Lake to the east, both surrounded by public and private RV parks. RVers use Bartonville as a rural, low-traffic base for exploring the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Downtown Dallas is roughly 35 miles southeast, Fort Worth is about 20 miles south, and DFW International Airport is a short drive down FM 407. The closest options range from full-hookup private parks to lakefront and primitive city and Corps of Engineers sites. Corral City RV Park and Post Oak Place RV Park sit in the immediate rural area west of town, while Meadowmere Park, NorthLake Village RV Park, and The Vineyards Campground and Cabins cluster around Grapevine Lake and the Roanoke and Northlake side of I-35W.

Reservation systems vary by operator. Camping at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facilities on Grapevine Lake is limited to Murrell Park, which has 11 primitive tent-only sites reservable through Recreation.gov or by phone; RVs and camping trailers are not permitted there. Meadowmere Park is managed by the City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation and is booked online through Campspot, with primitive lakeside tent sites that include a picnic table and fire ring. Private parks handle their own bookings. The Vineyards Campground and Cabins accepts reservations up to twelve months in advance with full payment due at booking, and the guest of record must be at least 21. NorthLake Village RV Park, Corral City RV Park, and Post Oak Place RV Park book directly through their offices or their own websites, and deposits are common.
