Campgrounds and RV parks near Bedford, TX

Bedford sits in the Mid-Cities corridor between Dallas and Fort Worth, putting RV travelers within a short drive of Grapevine Lake to the north and Arlington's entertainment district to the south. The closest full-service RV camping is clustered around these two hubs rather than in Bedford itself, so most trips base out of a lakefront park in Grapevine or a resort-style park in Arlington and treat Bedford as a central point for shopping, dining, and highway access via SH-121, SH-183, and Loop 820. Lake Grapevine, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir managed in partnership with the City of Grapevine, anchors the northern options. The Vineyards Campground and Cabins sits on Grapevine Lake and offers full hook-up RV sites and cabins with lakefront views, while Meadowmere Park spans roughly 288 acres of lakeside terrain on the southwestern shore, is managed by the City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation, and is known for primitive tent camping and the largest floating aqua park in Texas. South of Bedford, Arlington and Grand Prairie hold the metro's larger RV resorts, including the Dallas / Arlington KOA Holiday, Treetops RV Resort, and Traders Village RV Park, each within roughly 20 to 30 minutes of downtown Bedford.

Reservations in the Bedford area are handled directly by each campground rather than through a single park system. The Vineyards Campground and Cabins accepts reservations up to twelve months in advance through its own website, and the primary guest must be at least 21 years old, with an adult 21 or older residing in the RV or cabin for the duration of the stay. Meadowmere Park's primitive tent sites are booked through the City of Grapevine's reservation platform. The Dallas / Arlington KOA Holiday books through the KOA site or app, with KOA Rewards discounts available at checkout. Treetops RV Resort, part of the Sun Outdoors network, takes reservations through its resort page or by phone, and Traders Village RV Park books directly with the park office. Weekend and holiday dates from spring through fall should be locked in well ahead of arrival.
