Campgrounds and RV parks near Clarksville City, TX

Clarksville City sits in Gregg and Upshur counties in the East Texas Piney Woods, wedged between Longview, Gladewater, White Oak, and Kilgore along the U.S. Highway 80 corridor. The town is small, so most RV travelers use it as a quiet base for exploring the surrounding lakes, oilfield history sites, and antique towns rather than as a destination in itself. Full-hookup private parks along the highway handle most overnight RV traffic. Options close in include Antique Capital RV Park and Twisted Pines RV Park, both convenient to Gladewater's antique district, along with Watts RV Park Rental Cabins for travelers who want a cabin add-on to their RV site. North Point RV Park and Fernbrook Park round out the nearby choices for longer stays. For state and federal campgrounds, travelers typically head south to Martin Creek Lake State Park near Tatum or northeast to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers parks around Lake O' the Pines. Both add lake access, swim beaches, and boat ramps that the in-town private parks do not offer.

Private parks in and around Clarksville City, including Antique Capital RV Park, Twisted Pines RV Park, Watts RV Park Rental Cabins, North Point RV Park, and Fernbrook Park, are booked directly with each park by phone or through their own websites. Long-term monthly stays are common in this area, so calling ahead is recommended even in shoulder seasons. Martin Creek Lake State Park is reserved through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, online or by phone, with a booking window that opens up to five months in advance. Lake O' the Pines Corps of Engineers campgrounds, including Brushy Creek, Alley Creek, Johnson Creek, Buckhorn Creek, and Lakeside, are reserved through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777, with a 14-day stay limit.
