Campgrounds and RV parks near Oyster Creek, TX

Oyster Creek sits in Brazoria County on the upper Texas Gulf Coast, a short drive from Freeport, Lake Jackson, Clute, and the beaches at Surfside. The town runs along FM 523 and the old Oyster Creek waterway, which drains through the coastal marshes toward the Gulf of Mexico. Most RV parks here cater to a mix of coastal travelers, anglers, and contractors working the Freeport industrial complex nearby. Oyster Creek RV Ranch, Windswept RV Park, Kountry Ranch RV Park, Quilly's Cozy Traveler RV Park, and Shipmans Landing RV Park all sit within a short drive of downtown Oyster Creek. Expect flat sites, full hookups with 30 and 50 amp service, and pull-through options at several parks. Several properties along Old Oyster Creek offer tree-shaded lots. The area works well as a base for beach days at Surfside and Quintana, birding at Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge, and jetty or bay fishing. Houston is roughly an hour to the north for day-trip errands or airport pickups.

Private RV parks in and around Oyster Creek, including Oyster Creek RV Ranch, Windswept RV Park, Kountry Ranch RV Park, Quilly's Cozy Traveler RV Park, and Shipmans Landing RV Park, book directly by phone or through their own websites. Monthly rates are common because many long-stay guests are working the Freeport industrial complex, so short-stay availability can be tight midweek. Quintana Beach County Park is operated by Brazoria County and reserves its paved full-hookup RV sites through the county parks office. Camping inside Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge is not offered; the refuge is day-use only. For holiday weekends, spring break, and the Memorial Day through Labor Day peak, reserve as early as possible and confirm rig length and slide clearance before arrival.
