Campgrounds and RV parks near Enumclaw, WA

The biggest draw is Mount Rainier National Park's Sunrise area, reached from Enumclaw via SR-410 and the Chinook Scenic Byway, which starts at the edge of Enumclaw and travels up and over Chinook Pass. The byway is closed through the snow season. Crystal Mountain Resort offers hiking, biking, scenic gondola rides, and disc golf in summer and lift-served skiing in winter. Closer to town, Kanaskat-Palmer State Park sits on a forested plateau next to the Green River, with rafting, fishing, and hiking. Whitewater rafting and kayaking on the Green River Gorge is rated expert only, but the riverside trails and day-use areas suit families. The Enumclaw Expo Center hosts the King County Fair, the Scottish Highland Games, and the Enumclaw Pro Rodeo, which can be planned around or built into a trip.

Motor homes over 35 feet and trailers over 27 feet are not allowed at Cougar Rock. Cell service is patchy in the foothills and absent inside the park, so download maps and the Recreation.gov app before leaving Enumclaw.
