Campgrounds and RV parks near Erlands Point, WA

Erlands Point sits on the Kitsap Peninsula in western Washington, just northwest of Bremerton on the shore of Dyes Inlet. The location puts RV travelers within a short drive of several Puget Sound state parks, a working state forest with rustic camping, and a handful of private RV parks geared to longer rigs and full hookups. Illahee State Park is an 86-acre marine camping park with 1,785 feet of saltwater frontage on Port Orchard Bay and is the closest public campground. Manchester State Park is a 111-acre camping park with 3,400 feet of saltwater shoreline on Rich Passage in Puget Sound, reached by a longer loop south through Port Orchard. Inland, the Green Mountain State Forest covers roughly 6,000 acres in Kitsap County and is managed by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, with first-come, first-served camping at Green Mountain Horse Camp. Cedar Glen RV Park and Eagle Tree RV Park round out the area for travelers who want hookups, dump stations, and easy access to Bremerton, Silverdale, and the ferry routes to Seattle and Bainbridge Island.

Washington State Parks sites at Illahee and Manchester are booked through the state central reservation system. Reservations can be made up to nine months in advance, either online through the washington.goingtocamp.com portal or by phone at 888-226-7688. A Discover Pass is required for vehicle entry to state parks and DNR recreation lands. Green Mountain Horse Camp operates on a different model. Campsites are available first-come, first-served at no additional cost with the purchase of a Discover Pass, and the camp is open for camping on weekends only from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Private parks such as Cedar Glen RV Park and Eagle Tree RV Park take direct bookings by phone or through their websites. For summer weekends, book state park sites the day the nine-month window opens and have a private-park backup confirmed in advance.
