Campgrounds and RV parks near Lake Morton-Berrydale, WA

Lake Morton-Berrydale is a census-designated place in King County, Washington, sitting on a wooded plateau between Maple Valley, Covington, and Black Diamond. The area works well as an RV base for renters who want quick access to Seattle and Tacoma while camping in the Cascade foothills rather than in the city. Elevation is around 460 feet, so summer weather stays mild and winter access remains straightforward on paved routes. Options range from full-hookup private resorts to a state park with partial hookups. Cran Mar RV Park and Lake Sawyer RV Resort sit closest, both on the Maple Valley to Black Diamond corridor, with Lake Sawyer near one of the region's largest natural lakes. Enumclaw Expo Center RV Campground and South Prairie Creek RV Park lie south toward Mount Rainier, and Kanaskat-Palmer State Park is a wooded public-land option along the Green River in King County, with 2 miles of river shoreline and 3 miles of hiking and biking trails. Highways 169, 18, and 410 connect the area to Sea-Tac Airport, Snoqualmie Pass, and Mount Rainier National Park, making one-way and round-trip itineraries both practical.

Camping reservations at Washington State Parks are made through the state parks reservation system up to 9 months in advance, and Kanaskat-Palmer bookings run through washington.goingtocamp.com or by phone. A Discover Pass is required for vehicle access at Washington state parks, and same-day reservations require in-person check-in at the ranger station since online booking does not allow day-of reservations. Enumclaw Expo Center RV Campground books online through RoverPass and features 27 paved campsites with water and electric hookups but no sewer dump on site, so it is a short-term campground. The closest dump station is about one mile away. The park is often fully committed during King County Fair, Scottish Highland Games, and rodeo weekends, so check the Expo Center event calendar before locking in dates. Lake Sawyer RV Resort, South Prairie Creek RV Park, and Cran Mar RV Park are private and take direct reservations through their own websites or by phone. Cancellation windows vary by operator.
