Campgrounds and RV parks near Waitsburg, WA

Waitsburg sits along US-12 in southeast Washington's Walla Walla County, on the Touchet River between the wheat fields of the Palouse and the foothills of the Blue Mountains. RV travelers use it as a low-traffic base for exploring the Snake River, Palouse Falls, and Walla Walla wine country, with the closest full-service campgrounds strung along Highway 12 and Highway 261. The nearest option is Lewis and Clark Trail State Park, a shaded riverside park roughly five miles southwest of town on the Touchet River. Tucannon River RV Park, Blue Valley RV Park, and RV Resort Four Seasons cover private-park needs closer to Dayton and Walla Walla, while Starbuck / Lyons Ferry Marina KOA Holiday sits on the Snake River near Lyons Ferry and Palouse Falls state parks. Expect a rural mix: small state park loops with no hookups, and privately run RV parks with 30/50-amp service. Cell coverage is patchy off the highway corridors, and grocery resupply is easiest in Dayton or Walla Walla.

Washington State Parks sites, including Lewis and Clark Trail State Park, are reserved through the Going to Camp system at washington.goingtocamp.com or by calling the central reservations line at 888-CAMPOUT. Campsites are reservable up to nine months in advance, and same-day online booking is available until 2 p.m. on the arrival date. A Discover Pass is required for day-use vehicle entry at state parks. Private parks including Tucannon River RV Park, Blue Valley RV Park, and RV Resort Four Seasons take reservations directly by phone or website. Starbuck / Lyons Ferry Marina KOA Holiday books through KOA.com or the campground's phone line, and fills quickly on summer weekends, so book several weeks out for holidays and Palouse Falls trips.
