Campgrounds and RV parks near Harrisville, WV

Harrisville sits in Ritchie County in the Mid-Ohio Valley of north-central West Virginia, surrounded by rolling Appalachian foothills, the North Fork of the Hughes River, and the 72-mile North Bend Rail Trail. The town works as a practical base for RV trips into the region, with a state-park campground, small private parks, and trail access within a short drive. The closest full-service public option is River Run - North Bend State Park, located along the North Fork of the Hughes River inside North Bend State Park. It offers a mix of electric and non-electric sites suitable for tents, trailers, and motorhomes. Lone Pine Campground and Castle Care Campground provide private-park options in the immediate area, while American Way RV Park serves travelers looking for a straightforward overnight or short-stay RV stop. For RVers willing to drive south toward Glenville, Cedar Creek State Park adds a larger wooded campground with electric and water hookups at every site, two dump stations, and access to stocked fishing lakes and hiking trails.

West Virginia State Parks use a single online and phone reservation system covering both North Bend State Park and Cedar Creek State Park. Sites can be reserved online, by phone, or at the campground office, with a two-night minimum on Friday and Saturday stays and a one-night minimum allowed Sunday through Thursday. Cedar Creek allows bookings up to 12 months in advance, and the same window generally applies across the state-park system, so summer weekends should be locked in early. River Run - North Bend State Park has a mix of electric and non-electric sites; book the electric sites first if running rooftop air conditioning, since they go quickly on summer weekends. Private parks such as Lone Pine Campground, Castle Care Campground, and American Way RV Park are booked directly with each property, often by phone, and tend to be more flexible for last-minute or longer stays.
