Campgrounds and RV parks near Pleasant Valley, WV

Pleasant Valley sits in Marion County in north-central West Virginia, just south of Fairmont in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains. The area gives RV travelers quick access to two state parks, a Corps-managed lake, and several private RV parks within a short drive, making it a practical base for lake, river, and forest trips. Close-in options include Fairmont Hills RV Park and Oakdale Village Mobile City, LLC, both suited to travelers who want hookups near town services, fuel, and grocery stops. For a more traditional state-park experience, Tygart Lake State Park lies just south near Grafton, and Audra State Park sits southeast along the Middle Fork River. Indian Meadows Campground provides another private option in the surrounding area. Most campgrounds in this region operate seasonally from mid-April through mid-October, so trip planning should account for closures on either side of that window.

West Virginia State Parks handle reservations for both Tygart Lake and Audra through the state parks reservation system at wvstateparks.com, by phone at 1-833-WV-PARKS, or in person at the park office. Campsites can be booked up to twelve months in advance, with the full month opening on the first day of the month one year out. Tygart Lake enforces a fourteen-night maximum stay, and unreserved sites at both parks are first-come, first-served. For peak summer weekends, booking three to six weeks ahead is a safe target, and holiday weekends fill earlier. Private options such as Fairmont Hills RV Park, Oakdale Village Mobile City, LLC, and Indian Meadows Campground are booked directly with the operator by phone or through their own websites.
