Cedar Pass Campground sits at the heart of Badlands National Park in South Dakota, offering 96 level campsites surrounded by the park's iconic eroded buttes and dramatic rock formations. Located near the Ben Reifel Visitor Center along SD-240, this campground is a premier base camp for exploring one of America's most striking landscapes. Campers can wake to breathtaking sunrises over the badlands and stay up late for world-class stargazing under some of the darkest skies in the region. The campground is well-equipped with electrical and water hookups (including 30-amp service), showers, flush toilets, picnic tables, and a dump station, making it a comfortable choice for RVs of all sizes — including big rigs. Hikers and trail enthusiasts will appreciate direct access to the park's extensive trail network, which winds through fossilized terrain and past prairie wildlife including bison, pronghorn, and bighorn sheep. Four group campsites are also available for organized parties. Wheelchair-accessible sites and restrooms are on-site. Pets are welcome on leash. Cedar Pass Campground delivers an immersive Badlands National Park experience unlike any other in South Dakota.
