Hamlin Beach State Park offers a scenic Lake Ontario camping destination in the Genesee Region of New York. The 264-site campground features tent and RV options across multiple loops with clear water and sandy beaches that draw thousands of visitors annually.
The campground provides comprehensive amenities including electrical hookups, water access, dump stations, and shower facilities. Multiple loops accommodate different camping styles, with specific areas designated for pet-friendly sites. Visitors enjoy lifeguarded swimming from mid-June through Labor Day, complemented by 6 miles of hiking and biking trails, including the scenic Yanty Creek Marsh self-guided loop.
Beyond beach activities, the park supports diverse recreation: fishing for salmon and trout, boating via car-top launch facilities, and seasonal snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. Additional features include five pavilions, playgrounds, and a CCC Camp Restoration Project offering guided historical tours exploring Civilian Conservation Corps and POW Camp heritage.
Located near Letchworth State Park (known as the "Grand Canyon of the East") and Oak Orchard State Marine Park, Hamlin Beach provides an excellent base for exploring the region's natural attractions and historic sites.
