Rochon Sands Provincial Park Campground sits on the shores of Buffalo Lake in central Alberta, approximately 12 km west of Stettler off Highway 12. Campers enjoy direct beach access perfect for swimming, along with a boat launch for power boating, sailing, water skiing, canoeing, and kayaking. Anglers will find excellent fishing opportunities on Buffalo Lake, while birdwatchers can spot great blue herons, American avocets, bald eagles, Canada geese, and a variety of waterfowl nesting in the area. White-tailed deer, mule deer, and coyotes are frequently seen throughout the park. On-site amenities include water hookups, fire pits, picnic tables, grills, a dump station, flush toilets, firewood, and a playground, making it well-suited for families and longer stays.
