This RV is incredible and was perfect for our family of four. Everything worked perfectly and was in excellent condition. We loved being able to do all of our cooking outside. Being able to put the murphy bed up during the day and have a couch for more seating was extremely helpful. Highly recommend!

I am not a seasoned camper by any means. However I have had the opportunity to rent a few campers over the last 2 seasons. This camper has been my favorite. It was extremely spacious, clean and fully equipped. We were able to cook and host dinner for 4 large adults without climbing all over one another in the camper during the rainy evenings. Brooklyn provided a full white glove service with delivery, setup, pickup and even a "how to" session to answer my newbie questions. I could totally get used to camping in this rig. I will be starring this camper in the hopes to rent it again in the future. Thank you Brooklyn!

When the phrase “above and beyond” was created , Shiloh was who they had in mind. Not only did Shiloh rent us his RV for a really important family reunion in Aurora (on the other side of the mountain range), he rented us his truck as well because our vehicle wouldn’t haul it. He truly went above and beyond to accommodate our trip, making sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us daily to make sure all was well. You are in good hands booking with him, he is a man of his word and I would be happy to business with him again. Thanks again Shiloh!!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Lone Tree, CO

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Lone Tree, CO?

RV rental in Lone Tree is more affordable than you might think when you book through a peer-to-peer marketplace like RVezy. Travel trailers typically start around $90 to $150 per night, campervans run about $125 to $200, and larger Class A or Class C motorhomes generally fall between $200 and $375 per night. Summer weekends and Colorado Renaissance Festival weekends in Larkspur are the priciest, so booking midweek or in the May or September shoulder seasons is the easiest way to score a cheap RV rental in Lone Tree. Pro tip: filter by Delivery to skip the drive out of the city and let the host bring the RV straight to your campground.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Lone Tree, Colorado?

Good news, your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Lone Tree. Colorado does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special RV endorsement for the motorhomes and trailers listed on RVezy, even for big Class A rigs. You'll just need to be 25 or older and upload a photo of your valid license so RVezy can confirm your ID through the platform before pickup. Visiting from outside the US? Bring your home-country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your local auto association. That's it, you're cleared to hit I-25 and start your Colorado RV trip.

During checkout, you choose the protection level that fits your trip, with options ranging from basic to premium coverage that handles most damage to the vehicle. What happens if I need to cancel my Lone Tree RV rental?

Booking is low-risk. RVezy has a clear, platform-wide cancellation policy that includes a full money-back grace period right after you book, so you can lock in that perfect motorhome rental in Lone Tree without second-guessing. After the grace period, refunds depend on how far out your trip is. RVezy, not the host, sets cancellation terms, which means the policy is consistent across every Lone Tree listing. If a host has to cancel on you, RVezy will refund your booking or help you rebook. If anything unexpected pops up, message RVezy support and they'll walk you through your options.

Hosts set their own pet rules and may add a small cleaning fee, which you'll see upfront before booking. Once you're rolling, Lone Tree spoils four-legged travelers: Bluffs Regional Park has leashed dog trails right in town, Chatfield State Park has a large off-leash dog area with reservoir access, and Cherry Creek State Park offers another huge off-leash zone a short drive north. Pack a water bowl, a few extra waste bags, and you're set for a tail-wagging Colorado adventure.

Can the RV be delivered to me in Lone Tree?

Yes, RV delivery in Lone Tree is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-timers who'd rather skip driving a 30-foot motorhome through Park Meadows traffic. Many local hosts will deliver and set up your RV at Chatfield State Park, Cherry Creek State Park, Castlewood Canyon State Park, or even your own driveway, then walk you through every system before they leave. Delivery fees are typically based on mileage from the host's location, and you'll see the exact cost before you book. Use the Delivery filter to instantly see hosts who offer this service. It's the easiest way to start a Lone Tree RV trip with zero driving stress.

How far can I drive on an RV rental from Lone Tree?

Pretty much anywhere in Colorado and beyond. Check the listing's mileage policy before booking, and message the host if you're planning a big loop, they often have flexible options for longer trips.

Dakota Ridge RV Park in Golden (35 minutes northwest) puts you minutes from Red Rocks. For a wilder vibe, head 45 minutes west into Pike National Forest for dispersed camping among the ponderosa pines. Book state park sites at cpw.state.co.us as early as you can, summer weekends fill up fast.

When is the best time of year for a Lone Tree RV trip?

Late May through mid-September is the sweet spot, with daytime highs from the upper 70s to mid-80s°F and Lone Tree's famous 300+ days of sunshine. July is the warmest month, averaging around 86°F, perfect for reservoir swimming at Chatfield. June and September are local favorites because the crowds thin out and overnight lows stay comfortable in the 50s. Spring (April to early May) can surprise you with a late snowstorm, while fall foliage along the Peak to Peak Highway peaks in late September. Winter RV trips are absolutely doable too, especially for ski-town adventures, just look for a four-season RV with heated tanks. Plan around the Colorado Renaissance Festival weekends in Larkspur (June-August) for big fun, or avoid them if you want quieter campgrounds.

I've never driven an RV before. Is renting in Lone Tree really doable?

Totally doable, first time renting an RV in Lone Tree is easier than most people expect. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through driving tips, the propane system, slide-outs, water hookups, and dump procedures so you're never guessing. If city driving makes you nervous, choose a host who offers delivery and they'll bring the RV straight to Chatfield or Cherry Creek and set everything up. Class B campervans and small Class C motorhomes are the easiest for beginners and handle Lone Tree's wide suburban streets like a regular SUV. Pro tip: plan your first day as a short hop, maybe just 50 miles to Castlewood Canyon, so you can get comfortable before tackling the mountains.

What if my RV breaks down during the trip?

You're never on your own. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so a flat tire on I-25, an overheating issue climbing Monument Hill, or a dead battery at a Pike National Forest dispersed site is just a phone call away. Roadside can dispatch a tow, tire change, jump start, or fuel delivery directly to your location. Your host is also a great first call for quick troubleshooting since they know their RV inside and out. RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip for anything else, so you can focus on the views instead of worst-case scenarios.

Can I take my Lone Tree RV rental to other states or into Canada?

Yes, interstate travel is totally fine and one of the best parts of an RV road trip from Lone Tree. Popular cross-state routes include Wyoming's Grand Teton and Yellowstone (about 500 miles north), Utah's Mighty Five national parks via I-70 west, and New Mexico's Santa Fe via I-25 south. Canada trips are possible too but require host approval in advance, so message them before booking to confirm coverage. One important note: travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because the protection plan doesn't extend across that border. Stick to the US and Canada and your protection and roadside assistance follow you the whole way.

What should I budget for fuel on a Lone Tree RV trip?

Fuel is the biggest variable cost, but it's easy to plan for. Expect 8 to 10 mpg for a Class A motorhome, 10 to 14 mpg for a Class C, 15 to 20 mpg for a campervan, and 12 to 16 mpg for a truck towing a travel trailer. Colorado gas prices typically run a bit below the national average, hovering around $3.10 to $3.50 per gallon on the Front Range. Costco off County Line Road and Sam's Club near Park Meadows are the cheapest fill-ups in Lone Tree. For a 4-day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and back (roughly 200 miles), budget $80 to $150 in fuel for a mid-size motorhome. Driving the speed limit and avoiding fast acceleration on I-25 climbs makes a real difference.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far ahead should I book a campground near Lone Tree?

Earlier is better. Colorado state parks let you book up to six months ahead through Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and summer weekends at Chatfield and Cherry Creek genuinely sell out the day reservations open. For July and August stays, aim to book in January or February. Private parks like Jellystone at Larkspur and Dakota Ridge RV Park usually open bookings 9 to 12 months out. Pike National Forest campgrounds such as Lone Rock and Devil's Head are bookable on Recreation.gov six months in advance. Pro tip: weekday arrivals (Sunday through Wednesday) often have last-minute openings even in peak summer, so a Monday-Thursday Lone Tree RV trip is your best shot at a spontaneous getaway.
cpw.state.co.us/buyapply/Pages/Camping.aspx

What are local driving conditions like around Lone Tree?

Lone Tree sits at about 5,900 feet on the Front Range, with wide suburban roads and easy access to I-25, C-470, and US-85, all RV-friendly. The trickier stuff starts when you head west into the mountains: US-285 climbs steadily toward Bailey and Fairplay, and I-70 west of Denver hits 11,158 feet at the Eisenhower Tunnel, so use lower gears on the descent and watch your engine temp on the way up. Afternoon summer thunderstorms are a Colorado classic, plan mountain driving for mornings. Winter brings snow from late October through April, especially over passes, so check codot.gov before heading out. In town, watch for the height restriction at the Lincoln Avenue light rail underpass (about 13 feet).
codot.gov/travel/colorado-road-conditions

What amenities do campgrounds near Lone Tree typically offer?

Local campgrounds make RV life easy. Chatfield and Cherry Creek State Parks both offer full hookups (water, electric, sewer) or electric-only sites, flush toilets, hot showers, dump stations, and potable water fills. Jellystone Park at Larkspur adds a pool, laundry, Wi-Fi, and a camp store. Dakota Ridge RV Park in Golden has 50-amp service, full hookups, and laundry on-site. Pike National Forest campgrounds are more rustic, expect vault toilets, potable water spigots, and no hookups, which is why many travelers love a self-contained motorhome rental Lone Tree option with onboard tanks. Free public dump stations are available at Chatfield State Park and at the Flying J truck stop in Aurora, both within 20 minutes of town.
cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/Chatfield/Pages/Camping.aspx

What should I expect inside a Lone Tree RV rental?

More creature comforts than you'd think. A typical campervan rental Lone Tree includes a queen bed, kitchenette with fridge and stove, and often a wet bath, perfect for couples. Class C motorhomes commonly sleep 4 to 7 with a bedroom, dinette and overcab bunk, full bathroom, kitchen with microwave and oven, air conditioning, and a generator for boondocking. Class A and large travel trailers add slide-outs, TVs, and often outdoor speakers. Most rentals come with seatbelts for every passenger, and many hosts include linens, kitchenware, and camping chairs as standard or as optional add-ons. Wi-Fi isn't universal, but cell signal is strong across the Front Range, so a hotspot from your phone usually does the trick. Check each listing's amenity list before booking to match your must-haves.
nhtsa.gov/road-safety/recreational-vehicle-safety

What add-ons and pickup logistics should I plan for?

RVezy hosts in Lone Tree offer plenty of useful add-ons to customize your trip. Common options include bedding and linen packages, kitchen kits, camping chairs and tables, generators or extra propane, bike racks, and portable Wi-Fi. Pickup usually happens at the host's home in Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Parker, or Castle Rock and includes a 30- to 60-minute walkthrough. Mileage policies typically range from 100 to 150 free miles per day with a modest per-mile fee after that, and generator hours often allow 2 to 4 free hours per day. Delivery to nearby campgrounds is a popular alternative if you'd rather skip driving altogether. Every fee and policy is spelled out on the listing before you book.

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and fully handled through RVezy, so there's no cash exchange at pickup. You pay your full booking amount (rental, fees, add-ons, and protection plan) through the secure RVezy platform when you confirm, and a refundable security deposit is placed as a hold on your card before the trip begins, with the amount set by the host based on the RV's value. The hold is released after the host confirms the RV came back in good shape, usually within a few days of drop-off. To avoid any issues, take date-stamped photos of the RV at pickup and drop-off, follow the host's mileage and generator limits, and return the RV with the fuel and propane levels you started with.
