2021 Thor Motor Coach Class C
The owners of the RV were kind and honest people. They were generous enough to be super flexible with the pickup and drop off times which was extremely helpful (i'm sure they cant do this for EVERYBODY, but they did for me). The RV was clean and everything worked well! Overall a great experience, we would definitely rent from them again in the future.

Perfect little unit for road trips and camping! The van was comfortable and reliable. The van is well equipped woth utensils, dishes and tools, just load up the fridge and go anywhere! The solar powered battery was always charged and had plenty of power. Our host was welcoming and very helpful, everything worked as expected with zero issues. AC blows cold and the fridge works great! Thanks Kailen! We would camp with your van again in a heartbeat!

2020 Coleman Travel Trailer
Justin was a great host. He took the time to walk me through setup of the camper so I was comfortable with the operation during towing as well as the power accessories, lighting, refrigerator/freezer, speakers and bathroom. Justin also had the camper fully stocked with clean bedding, kitchen tools, toilet paper and even some games. We will definitely reserve with Justin in the future.

This is a great rv trailer for the mtns of Colorado! We took it to Wellington Lake (not the smoothest roads) and had no issues towing it or parking in the rugged campsite. Joe was super helpful and made sure had everything we need! Would definitely rent again!

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Sheridan, CO?

On RVezy, you can find a cheap RV rental Sheridan travelers love starting around $95 to $150 per night for travel trailers and campervans, while larger Class C and Class A motorhome rentals in Sheridan typically range from $175 to $325 per night. rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Sheridan%2C%20ColoradoDo I need a special license to rent an RV in Sheridan, Colorado?
Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Sheridan, Colorado. Colorado uses a standard Class R (non-commercial) driver's license for typical passenger vehicles and motorhomes, which covers virtually every motorhome, campervan, and travel trailer on RVezy. You will need to be 25 or older and upload a valid license through the RVezy platform so your ID can be verified before pickup. International visitors should obtain an International Driving Permit from their home auto association before flying in. No CDL, no endorsements, no special test, just confirm your ID online and you are cleared to hit the Rockies.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsIs the RV protected if something happens during my trip?
Yes, every RV rental in Sheridan booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit I-25 or US-285 with real peace of mind. During checkout you choose your protection tier (RVezy sets the plans, not the host), and your selection covers eligible accidental damage to the RV for the duration of your trip. Hosts cannot upsell or downgrade your coverage. Pro tip: pick a higher tier on your first trip, the small daily upcharge buys a lot of confidence as you learn to back into a Cherry Creek State Park site.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat happens if I need to cancel my Sheridan RV rental?
You can book your Sheridan RV trip with confidence because RVezy (not the individual host) sets the cancellation policy for every reservation. There is a grace-period window after booking that allows a full refund, and additional refund eligibility depends on how far out from your trip start you cancel. Special situations like wildfire closures or major Front Range snowstorms are reviewed by the RVezy support team. You will see the full cancellation terms during checkout, and RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip if plans change. Book the dates you want today, lock in your rig, and adjust later if life happens.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Sheridan?
Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental Sheridan options are plentiful on RVezy. Toggle the Pet-Friendly filter and you will see many dog-welcoming rigs across the Denver metro. Many hosts include pets at no extra fee, while others charge a small cleaning add-on (commonly $25 to $75). Once you are rolling, Colorado is a dog paradise: Cherry Creek State Park has a large off-leash dog area about 15 minutes from Sheridan, and Chatfield State Park offers one of the largest off-leash zones in the state. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm pet rules, then pack a leash, waste bags, and a collapsible water bowl for hikes around the Bear Creek Trail.
cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/CherryCreekCan the RV be delivered to my campground or home in Sheridan?
Yes, RV delivery Sheridan is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-timers who would rather skip driving a big rig through Denver traffic on Santa Fe Drive or US-85. Many Sheridan-area hosts will deliver and set up your motorhome rental Sheridan at popular spots like Chatfield State Park, Cherry Creek State Park, or Bear Creek Lake Park, then walk you through every system before they leave. Delivery fees are typically a few dollars per mile from the host's home base, and some hosts offer free local delivery within a set radius. Use the Delivery filter on RVezy to see only listings that offer this service, then confirm the destination address with your host when you book.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Sheridan%2C%20ColoradoHow does mileage work, and how far can I drive on a Colorado RV trip?
You have real range to explore on a Sheridan RV trip. Most RVezy hosts offer 100 to 150 free miles per night, and many list RV rental with unlimited mileage if you ask, especially for week-long bookings. From Sheridan, that easily covers a road trip to Rocky Mountain National Park (about 70 miles, 1 hour 45 minutes), Colorado Springs and Garden of the Gods (about 70 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes), Great Sand Dunes National Park (about 235 miles, 4 hours), or Mesa Verde (about 380 miles, 7 hours). Extra miles typically cost $0.30 to $0.45 each. Pro tip: map your route before booking, then discuss a mileage bundle with the host for the best value.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Sheridan%2C%20ColoradoWhere are the best campgrounds near Sheridan, CO?
Some of the best campgrounds near Sheridan are within a 30-minute drive, so you can pick up your RV and be set up by lunch. Chatfield State Park in Littleton (about 10 miles south) offers nearly 200 sites with electric or full hookups around a large reservoir. Cherry Creek State Park in Aurora (about 12 miles east) has roughly 135 campsites with hot showers and laundry. Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood (about 8 miles northwest) offers tent and RV sites with mountain views. Farther out, Golden Gate Canyon State Park (about 40 miles) puts you in the foothills. Reserve through cpwshop.com up to six months ahead, summer weekends in Colorado state parks sell out fast.
cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/ChatfieldWhen is the best time of year for RV camping in Sheridan?
The sweet spot for RV camping Sheridan is mid-May through late September, when daytime highs run a comfortable 70 to 90 F and overnight lows stay above 45 F at the city's roughly 5,300-foot elevation. July and August are warmest and best for high-country day trips, while June wildflowers and September aspen colors are a local favorite. Winter is genuinely cold (highs in the 30s to 40s, lows in the teens, occasional heavy snow), but Cherry Creek and Chatfield State Parks stay open year-round with limited winter loops, so a snowy ski-base RV trip is absolutely doable. Pro tip: shoulder seasons mean lower nightly rates and easier campground reservations.
weather.gov/bou/I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay?
You will do great, even if this is your first time renting an RV. Every RVezy host provides a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering driving, leveling, hookups, slide-outs, water, propane, and the toilet, and you will have their direct contact through the RVezy app for any question that comes up on the road. Sheridan is an ideal launchpad: you can avoid downtown Denver entirely by taking C-470 west or south to reach state parks and the mountains. Start with a Class C motorhome or a campervan rental Sheridan offers, which drive much like a large van. Pro tip: do a short practice loop around the host's neighborhood before you head out, and your confidence will climb quickly.
rvezy.com/blog/first-time-rv-renter-guideWhat if something breaks down during my RV trip?
You are never alone on the road. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so a flat tire on US-285, a dead battery at Chatfield, or a stuck slide-out in Estes Park is one phone call away from help. Your host is also reachable directly through the RVezy app for quick questions like how to switch the fridge to propane. For mechanical issues, RVezy support coordinates a tow, mobile repair, or alternate solution. Pro tip: snap photos of your dashboard, fluid levels, and tire pressures during the walkthrough so you have a baseline if anything looks off later in your trip.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take the RV out of state or across the border?
Yes, your RV road trip from Sheridan can cross state lines with host approval. Popular routes include Sheridan to Moab, Utah (about 350 miles, 5 to 6 hours via I-70), Sheridan to Grand Teton, Wyoming (about 475 miles, 7 to 8 hours), Sheridan to Santa Fe, New Mexico (about 390 miles, 6 hours), and the Million Dollar Highway loop through Ouray and Durango. Travel into Canada may be possible with host approval and insurance confirmation, so message before booking. Travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and protection coverage do not extend there. Pro tip: confirm your route with the host in writing through the RVezy message thread so everyone is aligned on mileage and border policy.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityWhat kind of fuel mileage should I expect, and how should I budget?
Fuel is the biggest variable cost on any Colorado RV trip, but it is easy to plan for. Campervans (Class B) average about 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes get about 8 to 12 MPG, and Class A rigs run about 6 to 10 MPG. Check current Colorado gas prices before your trip on the EIA website, mountain towns like Idaho Springs or Estes Park typically run higher than the Denver metro. For a 500-mile loop in a Class C, plan accordingly based on current per-gallon pricing. Pro tip: fill up in Sheridan or along Santa Fe Drive before heading into the high country, where prices can jump noticeably at mountain stations.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Sheridan?
Book Colorado state park campgrounds the moment your dates are firm, ideally three to six months out. Colorado Parks and Wildlife opens reservations on a rolling six-month window through cpwshop.com, and prime summer weekends at Chatfield and Cherry Creek (the two closest to Sheridan) often sell out within minutes of the booking window opening. For July 4 and Labor Day, set a calendar reminder for the six-month mark. Private RV parks and KOAs along the Front Range have more flexibility but still fill up in July and August. Pro tip: if your dream site is booked, check cpwshop.com daily, cancellations are frequent.
cpw.state.co.us/thingstodo/Pages/Camping.aspxWhat are driving conditions like around Sheridan and the Front Range?
Driving conditions around Sheridan are friendlier than most newcomers expect. The city sits just off Santa Fe Drive (US-85) with quick access to C-470, which loops around the south Denver metro and connects to I-70 west into the mountains, no downtown driving required. Watch for rush-hour congestion on I-25 (7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.) and afternoon thunderstorms in July and August that can drop visibility fast on mountain passes. Winter storms can close I-70 west of Idaho Springs, CDOT's COtrip.org gives live updates. Pro tip: when heading to Rocky Mountain National Park or Aspen, leave Sheridan by 7 a.m. to beat both traffic and afternoon storms.
cotrip.org/What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Sheridan?
Front Range campgrounds are well-equipped, so your trip stays comfortable. Chatfield State Park offers full-hookup sites (water, sewer, 30/50-amp electric), flush toilets, hot showers, coin laundry, and an RV dump station. Cherry Creek State Park has roughly 135 sites with electric (a limited number full-hookup), hot showers, and laundry, with seasonal dump-station access. Bear Creek Lake Park offers electric sites and a dump station. Where to park an RV in Sheridan for water fill-ups and dumping? Both major state parks have potable water fills near the dump stations. Pro tip: arrive with a roughly half-full fresh tank to keep weight (and fuel use) down on mountain climbs.
cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/CherryCreekWhat features and amenities come inside an RVezy rental?
Today's RVs are basically rolling apartments. Expect a real bed (queen or king in most Class C and Class A rigs), a full kitchen with fridge, freezer, stove, microwave and sink, a bathroom with toilet and shower, climate control (roof AC plus furnace), and seatbelted seating for everyone in your party. Many Sheridan listings include a flat-screen TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, and a generator for boondocking. Wi-Fi hotspots and solar panels are common add-ons. Filter on RVezy by sleeps count, RV type, and amenities to match your family RV trip Sheridan needs. Pro tip: ask the host to send a short walkthrough video before pickup so you arrive knowing exactly what each switch does.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Sheridan%2C%20ColoradoWhat add-ons and pickup options can I choose from?
Hosts on RVezy offer a long menu of add-ons that turn a basic rental into a turnkey trip. Common options in the Sheridan area include linens and towels, camp kitchen kits, generators, bike racks, propane fire pits, baby and booster seats, and even pre-stocked pantries. Pickup is usually at the host's Sheridan-area home, though many will deliver to Chatfield, Cherry Creek, or Bear Creek Lake Park for a per-mile fee. Mileage policies vary by listing, typically 100 to 150 free miles per night, with unlimited-mileage options if you ask. Pro tip: bundle delivery, linens, and a generator on your first trip so you arrive to a fully set-up campsite, no learning curve required.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Sheridan%2C%20ColoradoHow does payment and the security deposit work?
Payment on RVezy is simple and fully online: you pay through the platform with a credit or debit card, never directly to the host in cash. A security deposit is placed as a hold on your card before pickup and released after the trip once the RV is returned in the same condition, with the same fuel and propane levels. To avoid any deposit headaches, photograph the RV inside and out at pickup and dropoff, return it clean, refill fuel, and dump tanks if your host requires it. Pro tip: keep all receipts (fuel, propane, dump fees) in your RVezy message thread so there is a clear record if any question comes up.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksCan I rent an RV in Sheridan in the winter, and how do I prep for cold weather?
Yes, winter RV rental in Sheridan is absolutely possible and a great way to access world-class skiing at Loveland, Keystone, or Breckenridge without booking a pricey condo. Look for listings labeled as four-season or winter-ready: these have heated holding tanks, enclosed underbellies, and a propane furnace plus electric heat when on shore power. Several Front Range state park loops stay open through winter with electric hookups, confirm current open loops with Colorado Parks and Wildlife before booking. Pack a heated water hose, RV antifreeze for the gray tank, and tire chains or approved traction devices (required on I-70 during Traction Law and Chain Law alerts). Pro tip: book a host who offers delivery and setup, then you skip driving a snowy rig and just enjoy the slopes.
