When the phrase “above and beyond” was created , Shiloh was who they had in mind. Not only did Shiloh rent us his RV for a really important family reunion in Aurora (on the other side of the mountain range), he rented us his truck as well because our vehicle wouldn’t haul it. He truly went above and beyond to accommodate our trip, making sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us daily to make sure all was well. You are in good hands booking with him, he is a man of his word and I would be happy to business with him again. Thanks again Shiloh!!

Incredible Adventure with The Roam Wagon! We had an amazing experience renting the Roam Wagon! From start to finish, everything was seamless. This little trailer was clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable camping trip — including a cozy rooftop tent, solar powered generator, fridge & kitchen essentials, bathroom and many other thoughtful extras that made a big difference. Towing and parking the trailer was easy, and hooked up to our 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks Sasquatch it handled both highways and scenic backroads like a champ. Whether we were camping off-grid or staying at sites with hookups, the setup made it incredibly flexible and fun. The owner, Justin, was fantastic to communicate with — super responsive, helpful, and clearly passionate about making sure renters have a great time. We really appreciated the detailed orientation and tips before we hit the road. If you’re looking for a fun, reliable, and stylish way to explore, we highly recommend the Roam Wagon. It definitely made our trip unforgettable. We’d rent it again in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful time renting Barry’s RV! Barry was wonderful to work with, helping me adjust my dates when our plans changed. He was quick to respond, even for small questions. His RV had everything my family of 6 hoped for: bed linens, pillows, towels, dishes, pots and pans, utensils….. on and on. It was so well stocked. The RV was easier to drive than I expected and had several external cameras for helping with turns and lane changes. Barry made our trip a success and I can’t wait to rent from him again!

Barry was super easy to work with and will definitely be booking with him again on our next trip to the Denver area!

Aurora is surrounded by great RV camping spots. Cherry Creek State Park is a local favorite with full hook-ups and lake views, just minutes from the city. Chatfield State Park (in Littleton, 40 minutes west) has spacious sites and great trails. For full amenities, try Flying Saucer RV Park or Garden of the Gods RV Resort if you're heading to Colorado Springs. Overnight street parking isn't allowed in most Aurora neighborhoods, so campgrounds are your best bet.

RV camping in Aurora is best from late May through mid-October when daytime highs average 75-88°F and nights are pleasantly cool. Late September brings gorgeous fall colors in nearby parks. How much does it cost to rent an RV in Aurora, and are there ways to save?

You can expect RV rentals in Aurora to start around $90–$120 per night for smaller travel trailers and $160–$250 for motorhomes, with summer weekends most in demand. What fuel budget should I plan for on an RV road trip from Aurora?

Most motorhome rentals in Aurora average about 8–12 miles per gallon (mpg), while campervan rentals can reach 15–20 mpg. Local gas prices usually run just below the national average. For a family RV trip from Aurora to Rocky Mountain National Park (180 miles round trip), plan for 15–25 gallons of fuel. Check gasbuddy.com for current prices before you roll. Packing light and driving at moderate speeds will stretch your mileage further.

When and how should I book campgrounds near Aurora?

Colorado's state parks, like Cherry Creek and Chatfield, can fill up months in advance for summer weekends. Booking 3–6 months out is a smart move during peak season. Reserve at cpwshop.com for state parks, or check recreation.gov for federal sites like Pawnee National Grassland. Private parks and smaller city campgrounds often have more availability, but reserve as early as possible to grab your ideal site. Late August and September tend to have more last-minute options.

What are local driving conditions like for RVs in and around Aurora?

Navigating Aurora is a breeze: most streets are wide and well-marked. Rush hour traffic on I-225 and I-70 can slow things down between 4–6 PM, but you'll have easy highway access for quick escapes west to the Rockies. If driving downtown Denver or into the mountains, watch for changing weather and keep an eye out for sudden rain or hail, especially in late summer. Using RV delivery is a great way to skip city traffic altogether.

What amenities will I find at RV campgrounds near Aurora?

Campgrounds near Aurora range from scenic state parks with electric hookups to full-service RV parks. Cherry Creek State Park offers electric and water, dump stations, and showers. Chatfield State Park adds boat rentals, and Flying Saucer RV Park in Englewood has Wi-Fi and laundry. For water fill-ups, look for park spigots and dump stations (Cherry Creek and Chatfield both have these on site). Pro tip: local campgrounds are clean, accessible, and perfect for newbie RVers.

What equipment and amenities are included in an Aurora RV rental?

Most RV rentals in Aurora come set up with full beds, a kitchen for easy mountain breakfasts, a bathroom with shower, and air conditioning for those sunny Colorado days. Many feature entertainment options like TV and DVD, and some offer Wi-Fi and a generator for more remote sites. Seatbelts are built in for each sleeping spot: check exact counts in each listing. Message your host if you need something specific, like cookware or bike racks.

Can I customize my RV rental with extras, and how does pickup work?

Absolutely, you'll find everything from bike racks and camping chairs to bedding and kitchen kits available as add-ons in Aurora RV rentals. Pickup is a breeze: just schedule your time with the host, and you'll get a personal walkthrough and on-the-spot answers to any questions. Some hosts offer early pickup or late drop-off for an extra fee. Use the RVezy filters to find your ideal mix of features, whether you want glamping luxury or basic adventure.

What should I know about security deposits and payment for RV rentals in Aurora?

Booking your RV rental in Aurora is safe and straightforward. You'll pay through RVezy's secure system (credit card required), with the security deposit clearly stated at checkout: usually between $500 and $1500, held just before your trip. The deposit is fully refundable as long as the RV comes back in good condition and full of fuel. For smooth returns, review the trip checklist with your host at drop-off.
