The RV was fantastic and Josh was a great host! We were his first booking and you never would’ve known. He was super thorough in the walk-around going through the RV and the intricacies of the truck (it has air brakes!). Once on the road, it was super easy to drive, if you can say that about a 36’ Super C! The air ride seat made it really comfy and the adaptive cruise made it super easy to navigate from the driver side. And the kids and wife loved the onboard generator to watch TV, heat up some food, use the restroom, and even sleep while en route to our destination. When it’s time for another adventure, we’ll definitely be reaching out to Josh to rent again! Highly recommend Josh and his RV.

This was a wonderful experience. We camped in beach areas as well as wooded by a lake and this van was comfortable, reliable and REALLY easy to drive. We went to Atlanta, also, to the aquarium and navigating the city was easy as pie in this thing. The owners are INCREDIBLY nice and the communication is some of the best I’ve ever seen across things like this app, AirBnB, etc. Great people, great van, great experience.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Dallas, GA

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Dallas, GA?

RV rental in Dallas, GA is one of the more affordable ways to explore the North Georgia mountains and Lake Allatoona country. Most travel trailers run about $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes typically book between $175 and $275 per night, and larger Class A coaches can reach $350+ during peak weekends. Mid-week trips and shoulder-season dates (late March or October) are where you'll find cheap RV rental Dallas deals, sometimes 20-30% below summer rates. Pro tip: filter for travel trailers if you have a tow vehicle, or use the Delivery filter so the host drops the RV at Red Top Mountain State Park or your campsite, saving you fuel and stress.

What kind of driver's license do I need to rent an RV in Dallas, GA?

Good news: your regular Class C driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Dallas, GA. Georgia does not require a commercial driver's license for recreational vehicles, so a standard license covers virtually every Class B campervan, Class C motorhome, travel trailer, and fifth wheel on the RVezy marketplace. RVezy requires approved drivers to generally be 25 or older, and your ID is verified right inside the platform. Visiting from outside the United States? Bring your home-country license (an International Driving Permit is recommended) and you're set to roll toward Lake Allatoona.

Is the RV rental protected if something happens during my trip?

Yes, every RV rental in Dallas, GA booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit the Silver Comet Trail or head up to the Blue Ridge foothills with confidence. The protection plan covers physical damage to the RV up to the plan limits and provides liability coverage during your trip. You choose your coverage level at checkout (not the host), with multiple tiers available depending on how much extra cushion you want. Pro tip: bumping up to a higher tier costs only a few dollars more per night and is well worth it for first-time renters tackling Georgia's winding mountain roads.

Many local hosts will deliver to Red Top Mountain State Park (about 30 minutes north), McKinney Campground on Lake Allatoona, Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve, or even straight to your driveway in Hiram or Acworth. The host sets up the RV, levels it, connects to hookups, and walks you through every system before handing over the keys. Delivery fees typically run $2 to $4 per mile round-trip. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds (McKinney, Old Highway 41, Clark Creek) book through Recreation.gov on a 6-month rolling window. What are the driving conditions like around Dallas, GA?

Driving an RV around Dallas, GA is genuinely beginner-friendly. The town sits on US-278 and Highway 61, both wide two-lane roads with gentle Piedmont rolling hills, and you're 25 miles from Atlanta's busier interstates. Watch out for narrower stretches of Dallas-Acworth Highway (GA-381) heading toward Lake Allatoona, where shoulders get tight, and avoid downtown Atlanta during weekday rush hours (7-9 AM and 4-7 PM) if you can; I-285 perimeter is your friend. Summer afternoon thunderstorms can pop up fast, so check radar before climbing into the North Georgia mountains. Pro tip: ask your host about height clearance and use the RV Trip Wizard app, which routes you around low bridges and steep grades on US-19 and GA-400.

For dump stations and potable water fills, Red Top's campground has a dump station near the entrance, and most Cracker Barrel and Pilot/Flying J locations along I-75 and I-20 offer dump and water for a small fee. Pro tip: confirm amp service when booking; older RVs may only accept 30-amp.
