It was a pleasure renting from Jon and his sweet wife. The description was accurate, and the accommodations and all amenities were top-notch. He is very responsive, which is very appreciative, as I reached out to some other listings with no response at all. When we arrived we also found a thoughtful surprise of a dozen of their home grown eggs! We had enough space for our UTV and 5 tall adults. We'll definitely rent from them again. This was my first time using RVezy and the process has been great.

WOW!! The trailer was beautiful, very well kept and very clean! I was concerned about *renting* a trailer, my concerns were unfounded! Great experience! Can’t say ENOUGH nice things about Genna and Steve! Well informed owners who shared extra tips and tricks with us to make our trip even more enjoyable! We had a great trailer experience, but also came away with two new friends!! Definitely recommend these owners and this trailer or any future trailer they may advertise. Customer service was very important to them and it really showed! Pic is of the hubs and pup (in the blankets) relaxing after cooking our Thanksgiving ham! FYI - the trailer was plenty spacious for us two and the pupper & the hubby is 6’4” !!

What license do I need to rent an RV in Dublin, TX?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Dublin, TX, no Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special RV endorsement required for any motorhome or trailer you'll find on RVezy. Approved drivers are generally 25 or older, and you'll verify your identity and license directly through the RVezy platform during booking, which takes just a few minutes. Is my RV rental in Dublin protected if something goes wrong?

Every RV rental in Dublin booked through RVezy automatically includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit US-377 or FM 219 feeling confident. The protection plan covers eligible physical damage to the RV during your trip, and you choose your coverage level during checkout, not the host, so you can pick the tier that gives you the most peace of mind. Coverage applies from a flat tire near Proctor Lake to a stray scratch at the Stephenville/Dublin KOA. Pro tip: review the protection options carefully at booking, then enjoy your Dublin road trip without second-guessing every gravel driveway.

What happens if I need to cancel my Dublin RV booking?

Booking is low-risk: RVezy sets the cancellation policy on every reservation (not individual hosts), so the rules are consistent across every Dublin listing. The exact refund depends on how far out you are from your trip and the policy tier that applies to your booking. You won't see a cancellation policy listed on individual Dublin RV listings because it's handled at the platform level. If a host ever cancels on you, RVezy refunds your booking or provides travel credit so your plans aren't left in limbo. Pro tip: book early to secure the best Dublin motorhomes for spring bluebonnet season or summer weekends at Proctor Lake, knowing you've got clear, platform-wide cancellation terms.

Yes, pet-friendly RV rental in Dublin is easy to find on RVezy. Toggle the Pet-Friendly filter and you'll see plenty of motorhomes and travel trailers from local hosts who welcome dogs (some allow cats too). Heads up: stickers and grass burrs are common in this part of Texas, so pack booties or check paws after off-leash play. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm any pet fees and bring vaccination records for any campground office that asks.

Where are the best campgrounds near Dublin, TX to stay overnight?

You're spoiled for choice when it comes to RV camping in Dublin. The Stephenville/Dublin KOA Journey offers full hookup pull-thru sites just minutes from downtown Dublin Bottling Works. About 20 miles southwest, Proctor Lake (managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) has three excellent parks: Sowell Creek, Copperas Creek (lakefront sites), and Promontory Park (seasonal, generally open spring through fall). Camel Stop RV Park right in Dublin is another solid pick for 50-amp pull-thru convenience. Pro tip: at Copperas Creek, look for shaded lakeside sites for relief on hot afternoons.

When is the best time to visit Dublin, TX in an RV?

The sweet spot for a Dublin RV trip is mid-March through May and again from late September through early November, when daytime highs sit between 70 and 85 degrees and nights cool to the 50s and 60s, ideal for campfires at Proctor Lake. Spring brings bluebonnets across the Cross Timbers and St. Patrick's Day celebrations in the self-proclaimed Irish Capital of Texas. Summer is hot, with July and August average highs in the mid-90s, so book an RV with strong air conditioning if you're traveling then. Winters are mild (highs typically in the 50s) and great for off-season deals. Pro tip: plan around the De Leon Peach and Melon Festival in summer if you don't mind the heat.

I've never driven an RV. Is renting in Dublin still a good idea?

Yes, Dublin is one of the easiest places in Texas for first time renting an RV. The streets around downtown are wide, traffic is light, and rural roads like US-377 and US-67 are flat and forgiving compared to busy I-35 or Dallas freeways. Every RVezy host gives you a full walkthrough at pickup, covering leveling, water/sewer hookups, slide-outs, and the propane system, and you can message them throughout your trip if anything comes up. Nervous about driving at all? Choose a host who offers RV delivery in Dublin so the rig arrives set up and ready. Pro tip: do a short practice loop around the Dublin Bottling Works area before heading out to Proctor Lake.

What happens if the RV breaks down during my Dublin trip?

You're never on your own. Every RVezy booking in Dublin includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, covering common issues like flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, and towing whether you're parked at Sowell Creek or driving back from a day trip to Granbury. Just call the number provided in your booking confirmation and help is dispatched, no scrambling for a tow company on rural FM roads. Your host is also a quick message away for questions about quirks specific to their RV. Pro tip: save the roadside number in your phone before pickup and screenshot your campground GPS coordinates, since cell service can be patchy around Proctor Lake.

Can I take my Dublin RV rental into other states or across the border?

Most Dublin hosts welcome interstate travel, which opens up some incredible RV road trip routes from Dublin. Popular long-haul options include heading west to Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains in New Mexico (about 8 to 9 hours), north through Oklahoma to the Ouachita Mountains, or south to South Padre Island. Travel into Canada may be allowed with host approval and added paperwork, so message them through the listing to confirm. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and protection coverage doesn't extend there. Pro tip: tell your host your full route at booking so mileage, generator hours, and any cross-state add-ons can be sorted upfront with no surprises mid-trip.

What should I budget for fuel on a Dublin RV trip?

Fuel is one of the more predictable costs of an RV trip from Dublin. Expect Class C motorhomes to get roughly 8 to 10 mpg, Class A coaches 6 to 9 mpg, and campervans 14 to 18 mpg, while travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle. Gas prices in Erath and Comanche counties typically run near or just below the Texas average, with several stations along US-377 and US-67 sized for RVs. For a 200-mile weekend loop to Proctor Lake, Hico, and Granbury, budget roughly $80 to $130 in fuel for a Class C. Pro tip: fill up in Dublin or Stephenville before heading deep into the Hill Country, where stations get sparse and prices climb.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Dublin?

For the best campgrounds near Dublin, plan ahead. Proctor Lake's Corps of Engineers parks (Sowell Creek, Copperas Creek, Promontory) book through Recreation.gov and release sites up to 6 months in advance, with summer weekends and holidays filling fast. The Stephenville/Dublin KOA Journey books directly through KOA.com and usually has more flexibility, even a week or two out. For St. Patrick's weekend in Dublin (a big local celebration) reserve 2 to 3 months ahead. Pro tip: if your preferred site at Proctor Lake is sold out, set a Recreation.gov cancellation alert; many summer reservations free up in the final weeks as plans change.
recreation.gov/camping/gateways/504

What are driving conditions like around Dublin, TX?

Driving an RV around Dublin is genuinely pleasant. US-377 and US-67 (the two main highways) are wide two-lane roads with light traffic and gentle terrain through the Cross Timbers, no mountain passes or hairpins to worry about. Watch for spring thunderstorms from March to May (severe weather does reach north-central Texas) and crosswinds along open stretches near Proctor Lake, where it's smart to retract awnings whenever you leave the site. Deer are active at dawn and dusk on rural roads, so drive defensively after sunset. Pro tip: if you're nervous about wind or weather, check the National Weather Service Fort Worth forecast each morning and plan longer drives for the calmer early hours.
weather.gov/fwd/

What hookups and amenities can I expect at Dublin-area campgrounds?

Campgrounds near Dublin are well-equipped for RV camping. Proctor Lake's Sowell Creek and Copperas Creek offer 50-amp, 30-amp, and 20-amp electric, with water hookups at many sites, plus dump stations, showers, flush toilets, and potable water fill stations. The Stephenville/Dublin KOA Journey has full hookups with WiFi and a pool. Camel Stop RV Park in Dublin offers 50-amp full hookups with pull-thru sites. For dumping or filling tanks between stops, the Corps of Engineers dump stations at Proctor Lake are available to registered campers. Pro tip: bring a water pressure regulator and a 25-foot drinking water hose; some Proctor Lake sites have water hookups set below ground level, so a flexible hose helps.

Many also feature a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, and a generator for boondocking. Class B campervan rental in Dublin options are more compact but include everything you need for two. How does payment and the security deposit work for an RV rental in Dublin?

Payment is simple and secure. When you book an RV rental in Dublin, TX, RVezy charges your card for the rental, protection plan, taxes, and any add-ons through the platform, with no cash, checks, or off-platform payments (and never agree to pay outside RVezy). A refundable security deposit is held separately from your booking payment a few days before pickup and released after drop-off, assuming the RV comes back in the same condition. To avoid issues, do a thorough walkaround with your host at pickup and drop-off and take date-stamped photos. Pro tip: keep all messaging and any change requests inside the RVezy app for a clean record.

How do I beat the heat on a summer family RV trip in Dublin?

Summer in Dublin is hot (July and August average highs in the mid-90s with heat index often above 100), but a little planning makes a family RV trip Dublin both safe and fun. Choose an RV with strong roof AC and a generator, drive in the cooler morning hours, and book shaded campsites; at Sowell Creek and Copperas Creek at Proctor Lake, ask for sites with mature tree cover. Cool off with a swim at Splashville in Stephenville City Park, paddle on Proctor Lake, or duck into the air-conditioned Dublin Bottling Works tour for an ice-cold cane-sugar soda. Pro tip: stock up at a Stephenville grocery store before camp, and keep your awning retracted on windy afternoons to avoid heat-related awning damage.
