Late June through early September offers the warmest lake temperatures, reliable sunshine, and full campground services, making it the prime window for RV travel. July and August are the busiest months, so reservations are strongly recommended. May, early June, and September serve as quieter shoulder seasons with cooler evenings but easier site availability. Outside the main camping season a locked gate blocks the access road at Okanagan Landing Road, so winter RV access is not possible.

We had a great trip in Osoyoos thanks to Bjorn and his trailer. The trailer is in good condition and comes with a king bed which was an unexpected highlight of the trip. Bjorn was very helpful throughout the booking and delivery process and communicated with us every step of the way. Very happy with our experience and we would absolutely rent from Bjorn again.

Ellison Provincial Park, BC, Canada
The park is roughly 16 km from downtown Vernon, about a 20-minute drive, and approximately 60 km (one hour) from Kelowna. If northbound on Highway 97, turn left on 25th Avenue at the main intersection in downtown Vernon; the park is 16 km, or about 20 minutes, from that junction, following the blue and white VIP signs for Ellison Park. The final approach descends roughly 300 m down a steep grade to the campsites, making walk-in camping difficult in the off-season. For very large RVs (over 50 feet) the entrances to the pads may be narrow and there are a few low-hanging branches to watch out for. Kelowna International Airport (YLW) is the closest fly-and-rent hub.
