The trailer worked well for us, especially when a cold spell brought temperatures below freezing for couple of nights in the end of May. It was easy to tow up into the mountains and back. Jonathan is a great host. He is very helpful and accommodating, quick to answer questions, flexible with pick-up and drop-off times. Will rent from him again.

How to get to Lake Skinner Recreation Area
Lake Skinner sits about 10 miles northeast of Temecula and roughly 90 miles southeast of Los Angeles, a drive of about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. From San Diego, expect about 60 miles and roughly 1 hour 15 minutes via I-15 north to Rancho California Road, then east to Warren Road. RVers should note that I-15 through Temecula is heavily congested on weekends, and the final approach on Rancho California Road includes rolling grades and rural two-lane sections without turnouts. The nearest major airports for fly-and-rent trips are Ontario International (ONT) about 60 miles north and San Diego International (SAN) about 65 miles southwest.
