Late spring through early fall, roughly May through September, is the most popular stretch, with warm weather ideal for swimming, boating, and lakeside camping. Summer brings peak crowds and heat with high humidity, so early June and late August often balance open facilities with thinner reservation competition. Fall (October) offers mild temperatures, low humidity, and color along the hardwood shoreline, making it a strong RV shoulder season. Winter stays are quieter, with cool but generally mild days and most day-use amenities still accessible.

Kentucky Lake is the centerpiece activity at Paris Landing, with a full-service marina offering launch access, slips, and fuel. The lake is renowned for largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish fishing. RV travelers can park oversized trailers at the marina lot while launching boats.
The park's 18-hole championship golf course winds through rolling wooded terrain near the lakeshore. Cart rentals, a pro shop, and a driving range are on site. Oversized parking is available at the clubhouse lot.
A designated swim beach on Kentucky Lake offers sandy shoreline, picnic tables, and shaded pavilions. Lifeguards are not on duty, so swimmers enter at their own risk. The day-use lot accommodates vehicles with trailers.
Several short hiking trails loop through hardwood forest and along the lake shoreline, totaling a few miles of marked paths. Expect gentle terrain with minimal elevation change, suitable for families and casual hikers. Trailhead parking is near the campground and day-use areas.
Fort Heiman is a detached unit of Fort Donelson National Battlefield accessed from near the Paris Landing area. The Fort Heiman unit is not largely developed, with no visitor center and the site is not staffed regularly. The drive offers a self-guided look at Civil War earthworks overlooking the Tennessee River. nps.gov/fodo/planyourvisit/directions.htm
Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area is just across Kentucky Lake and offers bison range viewing, the Woodlands Nature Station, and the Homeplace living history farm. It is a full-day outing from the park campground. Ample RV parking is available at major LBL attractions.
Multiple picnic areas and reservable pavilions line the shoreline, ideal for group meals with lake views. Grills and restrooms are available at the main day-use complex. Parking accommodates RVs and tow vehicles.

Paris Landing State Park, TN, United States
The park is on US Highway 79 in Buchanan, Tennessee, about 16 miles northeast of Paris, TN, roughly 95 miles (about 2 hours) northwest of Nashville, and about 110 miles (2 to 2.5 hours) northeast of Memphis. Access is via flat, rural highways with no tunnels or mountain grades, making it straightforward for larger motorhomes and travel trailers, though the bridge over Kentucky Lake on US 79 can be windy for high-profile rigs. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent travelers is Nashville International Airport (BNA). Drivers coming from Kentucky typically use US 68/KY 80 through Land Between the Lakes, then connect south via US 79 across the Kentucky Lake bridge to the park entrance.
