We had a great experience renting this 29-foot RV from Stanislav. We picked it up at Swartz Bay in Victoria, traveled up the east coast of Vancouver Island, crossed over at Powell River, and made our way down the Sunshine Coast to Vancouver before returning it to Swartz Bay. The RV itself was very nice and everything worked as it should. The battery was particularly impressive—we were able to stay two full days on battery power without any issues. The generator also worked perfectly, and overall the camper was comfortable, reliable, and well equipped. Stanislav was also very helpful and made the pickup and drop-off at Swartz Bay easy. He offers delivery and pickup there for an additional fee, which was very convenient for us. One piece of advice for future renters: plan your route carefully if you are crossing between Vancouver Island and the mainland. We ended up taking five different ferry crossings during our trip, which added a significant amount to the cost. If we did the trip again, we would plan a route with fewer ferries. Overall, we really enjoyed the RV and would happily rent from Stanislav again.

This was our second year renting with Mark! He is great to deal with and quick to respond. The trailer is well stocked with cooking supplies, and dishes for 4 people. Bed is comfortable and trailer is clean. We camped as 2 adults and 1 dog and it was the perfect size. We did dry camping (no power hook ups) and loved that the trailer had solar power and ran on propane so we could use the stove & fridge/freezer and charge our devices (and heat for those chilly fall nights on the ocean). Would definitely rent again! He was also flexible on the pick up and drop off time which was great as I ran a bit later than planned on delivery day.

Bamberton Provincial Park is reserved through the BC Parks reservation system at camping.bcparks.ca. Reservations are available during the peak season, roughly May through October, and a small number of sites remain first-come, first-served year-round. Cancellations are common, so checking the system in the days before arrival can open up sold-out weekends. Private campgrounds such as Riverside RV & Camping, Osborne Bay Resort, Mowhinna Creek Campground, and Cedar Beach Resort &Campground are booked directly with each operator by phone or through their own websites. The Malahat section south of Mill Bay is winding but well graded, and BC Ferries operates a short crossing between Mill Bay and Brentwood Bay for travellers heading to the Saanich Peninsula. Private parks generally offer full or partial hookups and laundry, while Bamberton Provincial Park has 53 vehicle-accessible sites with pit toilets, shared cold-water taps, and no hookups. Cell coverage is reliable along the highway corridor and thinner in the forested pockets west of Duncan.
