Campgrounds and RV parks near Logan Lake, BC

Logan Lake sits on the Thompson Plateau in south-central British Columbia, roughly 40 kilometres southwest of Kamloops and 60 kilometres north of Merritt. The town centres on a stocked rainbow-trout lake, and the surrounding highlands hold a cluster of provincial parks and municipal RV sites within an hour's drive. Inside town, Logan Lake Municipal Campground is the most convenient base for renters, with lakeview RV sites, 15/30-amp hookups, hot showers, potable water, and a sani-station on Highway 97D at the Public Works Yard. West of town, Tunkwa Lake Provincial Park spreads across grasslands and forest with three campgrounds (Tunkwa Lake, Leighton and North Leighton), both trout lakes well known to Interior anglers. Lac Le Jeune Provincial Park lies northeast off the Coquihalla, offering a 144-site reservable BC Parks campground under lodgepole pine at higher elevation. Further afield, Steelhead Provinicial Park at Savona provides beach camping on Kamloops Lake, and Claybanks RV Park in Merritt is a full-service option along the Coldwater River.

Provincial park sites at Lac Le Jeune are booked through the BC Parks reservation system at camping.bcparks.ca. Of the 144 sites at Lac Le Jeune, 91 are reservable online and the remainder are first-come, first-served. BC Parks releases reservable inventory up to four months ahead of the arrival date. Tunkwa Lake Provincial Park is entirely first-come, first-served across its three campgrounds, with designated long-stay sites requiring a minimum four-week booking. Steelhead Provinicial Park historically operated on a first-come, first-served basis; beginning in 2026 the park accepts reservations for roughly half of its sites, so check the BC Parks page before arrival. Logan Lake Municipal Campground takes reservations online or by phone through the District of Logan Lake. Claybanks RV Park reserves directly through the City of Merritt. For summer weekends, book as far ahead as possible.
