Campgrounds and RV parks near Blackville, NB

Blackville is a small rural community in Northumberland County, New Brunswick, sitting on the Southwest Miramichi River roughly 50 km upstream from the City of Miramichi. The area is defined by the river valley, dense mixed forest, and a long-standing Atlantic salmon fishing tradition. Route 8 runs through town, making it a practical stop between Fredericton and the Gulf coast for RV travellers. Campgrounds in the region lean small and river-oriented rather than resort-style. Miramichi Treehouse and Camping Adventures, set on a large forested property along the Black River near the City of Miramichi, offers full-hookup RV sites, unserviced sites, cottages, and treehouses alongside a pool and walking trails. Other private options within driving range include Sunrise Campground, Chipman Waterfront Campground, Iron Bound Cove RV Park, and RiverRun Campground, covering a mix of serviced RV sites, tent pads, and waterfront frontage. Most sites in the region are privately operated and independently booked, so availability, hookups, and pet rules vary between properties.

Campgrounds in the Blackville area are almost all privately owned, so bookings go directly through each operator's website, phone line, or a third-party platform. There is no single provincial reservation portal that covers them. Confirm site length, hookup type (30 or 50 amp), and whether the site is pull-through before you commit, especially for larger Class A and fifth-wheel rigs. If you plan to combine the trip with a provincial park, Parks New Brunswick opens its summer reservations in early February through its central booking site. Parks Canada handles Kouchibouguac and Fundy national parks on a separate system, with launch dates announced each year on the Parks Canada Reservation Service. For long weekends and July-August peaks, reserve as soon as the systems go live.
