Campgrounds and RV parks near Hardwicke, NB

Hardwicke is a rural parish on the Northumberland Strait in eastern New Brunswick, along Miramichi Bay. RV travellers use it as a base for the Acadian Coastal Route and for trips south to Kouchibouguac National Park. The area combines private beachfront campgrounds with federally operated sites inside the national park boundary. Escuminac Beach and Family Park sits directly on the shoreline at Escuminac Point in Hardwicke, with a sandy beach a short walk from the sites. The park is a reasonable drive north of Kouchibouguac National Park, which puts most of the region's paddling, cycling, and beach infrastructure within easy reach. Les Champs D'olivier Camping offers an alternative inland option nearby. Inside the national park, South Kouchibouguac has 311 campsites with amenities including washrooms with showers, playgrounds and dumping station, while Côte-à-Fabien is smaller and located in a more isolated area of the park, and this unserviced campground has only dry toilets and hand pumps for water. Ocean River RV Resort rounds out the local options for travellers wanting private-park amenities.
