Campgrounds and RV parks near Queens, NS

The Region of Queens Municipality sits on Nova Scotia's South Shore, centred on the town of Liverpool. It serves as the northern gateway of the UNESCO Southwest Nova Biosphere Reserve, and campgrounds at Thomas Raddall Provincial Park and several other locations offer hiking, biking, canoeing, and kayaking. The area spans Atlantic coastline, inland lakes, and forested backcountry, giving RV renters a mix of oceanfront and woodland options within a short drive. Most sites cluster along Highway 103 between Liverpool and Port Joli. Thomas Raddall Provincial Park is one of the main public camping parks in the area, while Rissers Beach Provincial Park sits just north of the county line in Lunenburg County. Private options include Bear Falls Wilderness Campground, Fishermans Cove RV and Campground, and Lockeport Campground and Cottages further southwest. The municipality covers a large, diverse geography: some communities sit on the Atlantic shoreline while others are further inland, which can produce localized weather patterns. Renters should plan for coastal fog near the shore and warmer, drier conditions a few kilometres inland.

Provincial park sites are booked through the Nova Scotia Parks reservation service; online reservations for the 2026 season opened on April 8, staggered over two days at 9 a.m., and can also be made by phone at 1-888-544-3434. Popular oceanfront loops at Thomas Raddall and Rissers Beach sell out for July and August within days of opening. A limited share of sites is held back for first-come, first-served arrivals. Thomas Raddall Provincial Park sites are unserviced, so RV renters should arrive with full fresh water and empty holding tanks; a dump station and potable water fill are on site. Pets are welcome, and RV length limits apply on the park's roads, so check the park page before booking a longer rig. Private campgrounds including Bear Falls Wilderness Campground, Fishermans Cove RV and Campground, and Lockeport Campground and Cottages book directly by phone or through their own websites and typically offer serviced sites with power and water.
