Campgrounds and RV parks near Tiny Beaches North, ON

Tiny Beaches North sits along the southern shore of Georgian Bay in Simcoe County, Ontario, roughly 1.5 hours north of Toronto. The area is defined by long sandy beaches, shallow warm water, and a cluster of small lakeside communities inside Tiny Township, with Penetanguishene and Midland to the east and Wasaga Beach to the west. Campground options range from full-service private RV resorts to a large Ontario provincial park. Awenda Provincial Park occupies a peninsula jutting into Georgian Bay just north of Penetanguishene and is the region's main public camping destination. Sun Retreats Penetanguishene and Lafontaine RV Resort sit inland among hardwood forests off Lafontaine Road. Georgian Bay RV Park operates as a family RV resort in Tiny Township closer to Wasaga, and Bayfort Camp rounds out the private options in the area. Most RV travellers use the area as a beach-and-forest base, mixing shoreline days with hikes and short drives to Midland and Penetanguishene for supplies and provisioning.

Awenda Provincial Park bookings can be made online or by phone through the Ontario Parks reservation system. Reservations open on a rolling five-month window ahead of arrival, and summer weekend sites, especially electrical sites in Wolf Campground, are typically claimed within minutes of the window opening. From the third Friday in June to Labour Day, reservations are available for seven nights only, Saturday to Saturday. Private parks handle bookings directly through their own websites. Travellers on shorter overnight trips should confirm nightly availability with Sun Retreats Penetanguishene, Lafontaine RV Resort, Georgian Bay RV Park, and Bayfort Camp before arrival, as several properties emphasise seasonal stays. For peak summer weekends, plan to book several months out and consider midweek arrivals or shoulder-season dates for better availability.
