Campgrounds and RV parks near Trent Hills, ON

Trent Hills is a municipality in Northumberland County, Ontario, made up of the communities of Campbellford, Hastings, and Warkworth along the Trent-Severn Waterway. The area sits on the Trent River corridor, with drumlin ridges, limestone gorges, and lock stations shaping most of the campground options nearby. Ferris Provincial Park, the closest provincial park, sits next to the Trent River in Campbellford. The park has hiking and mountain biking trails, a suspension bridge over Ranney Gorge, and campground loops offering car camping from tents to trailers. Private options in the surrounding townships include Crowe Bridge Conservation Area, Stoney Point Trailer Park, Blairton Tent and Trailer Park, and Island Park RV Resort. Most renters use Trent Hills as a base for the Trent-Severn locks, the Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge, and the small-town food scene in Campbellford. Sites range from serviced RV pads on the water to shaded, unserviced provincial park loops set back in mixed forest.

Camping reservations for Ferris Provincial Park are made through the Ontario Parks website. The Ontario Parks reservation system opens on a rolling five-month window at 7:00 a.m. ET ahead of the arrival date, so summer long-weekend sites are typically claimed the morning the window opens. Electrical sites and pull-throughs suited to larger trailers go first. Private parks in the Trent Hills area, including Stoney Point Trailer Park, Blairton Tent and Trailer Park, and Island Park RV Resort, take bookings directly by phone or through their own websites, and many require deposits for peak weekends. Crowe Bridge Conservation Area is operated by the local conservation authority and handles its own camping and day-use bookings. RV renters should confirm site length, hookup type, and turning radius before booking, as some older loops were laid out for smaller trailers.
