Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint-Urbain-Premier, QC

Saint-Urbain-Premier is a small farming community in the Montérégie region of southwestern Quebec, roughly 45 minutes south of Montreal and close to the New York State border. The area sits on the flat agricultural plain of the Haut-Saint-Laurent, surrounded by orchards, dairy farms, and the wooded ridges of Covey Hill. RV renters use it as a quiet base for visiting Montreal, the Akwesasne and Adirondack regions, and the Lake Saint-François wildlife area. Most campgrounds within an easy drive are privately operated, family-focused parks open from spring through early fall. Camping Russeltown in nearby Saint-Chrysostome welcomes pets and offers ready-to-camp units alongside seasonal and traveller sites. Camping Le Domaine Du bel Age in Mercier and Domaine Frontiere Enchantee on Covey Hill in Havelock add larger-format resorts with pools and lakes. Camping Canne De Bois and Village Des Écluses round out the choices for RVers looking for hookups within a short drive of the village.

Campgrounds around Saint-Urbain-Premier are privately owned, so reservations go directly through each operator rather than a central provincial portal. Most accept phone bookings and email, and many have online reservation forms on their own websites. For trips that combine a private stay with a provincial park visit, Sépaq operates the official reservation portal for Quebec's national parks, wildlife reserves, and tourist establishments, covering campsites, ready-to-camp units, and other accommodations. Summer weekends and statutory holidays book out fastest, often months in advance, especially for sites with 30- or 50-amp hookups suitable for larger RV rentals. Cancellation rules vary by park, with deposits commonly non-refundable inside a week of arrival, so RV renters should confirm the policy before paying.
