Camping near Grant No. 372, Saskatchewan
The Rural Municipality of Grant No. 372 sits in central Saskatchewan, immediately northeast of Saskatoon, in a rolling prairie landscape crossed by the South Saskatchewan River. The RM itself is thinly populated farmland, so most RV travellers base themselves at campgrounds in and around Saskatoon or at nearby provincial parks and reservoirs.
Within easy driving range, options include Gordon Howe Campground, a mature campground with 135 serviced sites on the south side of Saskatoon, Travel-Inn Resort and Campground A and Campland RV Resort on the city outskirts, and Painted Rock Campground for a more rustic prairie setting. Blackstrap Provincial Park, a short drive south of Saskatoon, sits along Blackstrap Lake and is known for a man-made mountain that rises 45 metres above the surrounding prairies.
Together these options cover the range of typical RV needs: urban hookups with quick access to services, private resort-style parks, and a provincial park with beach, boat launch, and trails. Grant No. 372 works well as a rural touring base while using Saskatoon as the supply and services hub.
Things to do around Grant No. 372
Water recreation is the main draw at nearby Blackstrap Provincial Park, where Blackstrap Lake supports swimming, camping and fishing, with an east-side boat launch making it ideal for water-skiing, canoeing and windsurfing, and a main beach with sand and grass areas. The park's namesake Blackstrap Mountain rises 45 metres above the surrounding area, and in winter visitors can bring a fat bike for the trails or stay at the four-season glamping domes at the Blackstrap Glamping Resort.
In Saskatoon itself, campers staying at Gordon Howe Campground can walk or cycle onto the Meewasin Valley Trail along the South Saskatchewan River, with quick access to downtown restaurants, the Forestry Farm Park and Zoo, and Kinsmen Park. Rural drives through Grant No. 372 pass grain elevators, heritage churches, and quiet farm roads useful for cycling and photography.

The practical RV season runs from roughly mid-April through mid-October. Gordon Howe Campground's operating dates run from April 16 to October 12, and Saskatchewan provincial parks including Blackstrap open for the summer camping season on a similar schedule. July and August bring the warmest weather and the highest demand, especially on weekends and Canadian statutory holidays.
Late May, June, and early September are quieter shoulder periods with cooler nights and more site availability, though June is also the wettest month on the prairies. Spring can still bring frost into May, and fall frost typically returns in late September.
Winter camping is very limited. Saskatoon's chilliest winter nights have lows in the minus-thirties Celsius, from September to April it can remain below freezing all day long, and the city typically sees 103 frosty days a year. Most nightly sites and services close for the winter, so RV travellers should plan trips between the May long weekend and Thanksgiving for reliable conditions.

I rented this RV for a 3-night stay and had a great experience! It was fully equipped with everything I needed, and the bed was remarkably comfortable. When I ran into a minor issue starting the generator, Andrii was super responsive and helped me get it sorted right away. Iād gladly rent this unit again!
