Camp Hill sits in Tallapoosa County in east-central Alabama, roughly between Alexander City and Auburn along U.S. Highway 280. The closest full-service RV options cluster west toward Lake Martin and east toward Auburn. Wind Creek State Park, on the western shore of Lake Martin near Alexander City, is the largest public campground in the region and the anchor destination for lake-based trips. Expect a mix of lakeside state-park camping and private RV resorts within a 30 to 45 minute drive of Camp Hill. Rigs of most sizes are accommodated, though the largest pull-throughs and 50-amp sites are concentrated at the private resorts and at renovated sites inside Wind Creek.

Wind Creek State Park is reserved through the Alabama State Parks reservation system at reserve.alapark.com or by phone with the park office. All 586 campsites have water and electric hookups, and 268 also have sewer. Advance reservations may be made up to one year ahead, the standard maximum stay is 14 nights, and some premium waterfront sites carry a seven-day minimum. Holiday weekends often require booking several months in advance. Private parks near Auburn typically take reservations by phone or through their own websites. University Station RV Resort, Eagle Landing RV Park, Eagle's Landing RV Park, and Auburn RV Park at Leisure Time Campground fill quickly on Auburn home-football weekends. For any Auburn game weekend, reserve as soon as the schedule is released.
