Campgrounds and RV parks near Fayetteville, AL

Fayetteville sits in Talladega County in central Alabama, within driving distance of Logan Martin Lake, the Coosa River, and the foothills of the Talladega National Forest. The area suits RV travelers who want a quiet base close to lake recreation, small-town stops, and Birmingham day trips. Camping choices range from small historic parks to full-service RV resorts. Kymulga Grist Mill and Park near Childersburg offers a handful of hookup RV sites near a historic grist mill and covered bridge, while Logan Landing RV Resort and Cabins provides lakeside sites on Logan Martin Lake. Rolling Hills RV Park serves travelers looking for a straightforward hookup stay, and Peach Queen Campground sits just off Interstate 65 near Jemison with full-hookup pull-through sites, a spring-fed fishing lake, pool, playground, laundry, and bathhouses. For a larger public-land option, Oak Mountain State Park spreads across nearly 10,000 acres just outside Birmingham and works well as an add-on stop or destination in itself.

Private parks in the area take reservations directly by phone or through their websites. Peach Queen, Rolling Hills, and Logan Landing each handle their own bookings, and calling ahead is the fastest way to confirm hookup type, rig-length limits, and pull-through availability. Kymulga Grist Mill and Park is operated by the City of Childersburg and books through the park office. For Alabama State Parks, including Oak Mountain, use the official Plan Your Adventure portal at reserve.alapark.com. Out-of-state visitors can reserve up to 12 months in advance, while Alabama residents get access at 13 months under the state resident booking window. Holiday and race weekends fill first, so book early and expect minimum-stay requirements at peak times.
