Campgrounds and RV parks near Notasulga, AL

Notasulga sits in east-central Alabama on the Macon and Lee County line, roughly midway between Auburn and Tuskegee and about a half hour east of Montgomery. Eagle Landing RV Park, Eagle's Landing RV Park, and Bar-W RV Park round out the closest full-hookup choices for travelers who want a longer stay or a base camp for exploring the region. The area's marquee public campground is Chewacla State Park, a 696-acre park with a 26-acre lake, swimming area, playground, modern campground, hiking and mountain biking trails, cabins, and picnic shelters, a short drive from the Auburn-Opelika area. Tuskegee National Forest also lies just south of town.

Private parks in the Auburn-Opelika area, including University Station RV Resort, Eagle Landing RV Park, Eagle's Landing RV Park, Auburn RV Park at Leisure Time Campground, and Bar-W RV Park, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Football Saturdays, graduation weekends, and major campus events fill these parks first, so lock in dates as early as possible. For the state-run option at Chewacla, reservations run through the Alabama State Parks system. Reservations can be made up to 12 months in advance for out-of-state guests and up to 13 months in advance for Alabama residents, with a two-night minimum on weekends and a three-night minimum on holiday weekends including Memorial Day and the Fourth of July. Reservations are paid in full at booking and are refundable with 72 hours' notice, except for home football games, which are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be changed to another date.
