For a more historic setting, Kymulga Grist Mill and Park offers riverside camping near Childersburg. Angler's Pointe adds another lake-oriented option, and Oak Mountain State Park covers 11,861 acres just minutes from Birmingham, making it the largest developed camping destination in the region.
