Campgrounds and RV parks near Anchor Point, AK

Anchor Point sits on the western edge of the Kenai Peninsula along the Sterling Highway, roughly 15 miles north of Homer and about 200 miles south of Anchorage. Anchor River State Recreation Area can be reached from the Sterling Highway at Mile 156.9, and Anchor Point is the most westerly point on the U.S. Highway System. The town is a practical base for RV travelers heading south to Homer or working the Cook Inlet coast for salmon and halibut. Campground options cluster tightly along the coast and the Anchor River.
