Campgrounds and RV parks near Cohoe, AK

Cohoe sits on the western Kenai Peninsula along Cook Inlet, connected to the Sterling Highway by Cohoe Loop Road. The area is rural and forested, with the Kasilof River, Crooked Creek, and Cook Inlet beaches as the main draws. Soldotna lies about twenty minutes north for groceries, fuel, and propane, while Homer is roughly an hour and a half south. Campground options range from state recreation sites to private RV parks. Crooked Creek State Recreation Site sits along Cohoe Loop Road and offers wooded sites near the confluence of Crooked Creek and the Kasilof River. Kasilof RV Park provides full and partial hookups across the road from Johnson Lake, and Kasilof Dock offers riverfront sites near the town's boat harbor. Diamond M Ranch Resort, a short drive north between Kenai and Soldotna, adds full-hookup sites, cabins, and suites for travelers who want more amenities than state parks provide.

Alaska State Parks sites, including Crooked Creek State Recreation Site and Clam Gulch State Recreation Area, are reserved through the Alaska State Parks portal on ReserveAmerica, with bookings accepted up to seven months in advance. Crooked Creek State Recreation Site has a seven-day stay limit and a thirty-five-foot RV length limit. Clam Gulch allows fifteen-day stays with the same thirty-five-foot limit. Private parks handle bookings directly. Kasilof RV Park takes reservations by phone, text, or email, with peak summer weeks filling early. Diamond M Ranch Resort books through its own website. For salmon-season weekends, reserve two to three months out.
