Campgrounds and RV parks near Augusta, AR

Augusta sits along the White River in Woodruff County, in the Arkansas Delta between Little Rock and Jonesboro. The town is small, but its position on the river and proximity to U.S. Highway 64 and U.S. Highway 49 makes it a practical base for RV travelers exploring northeast Arkansas. Most nearby camping is a mix of small private RV parks and one full-service state park within reasonable driving distance. The closest options in town and just outside it include Shady Oaks RV and Mobile Home Park, Whitney Lane RV Park, and Red River RV Park, which serve mainly long-stay and workforce guests but often keep transient sites open. Searcy RV Living, roughly a half-hour southwest in Searcy, adds another private option with quick access to shopping and restaurants. For a public-lands stay, Jacksonport State Park sits at the confluence of the White and Black Rivers in northeast Arkansas, about 25 miles north of Augusta near Newport. It is the main state-park campground in the immediate region.

Jacksonport State Park is handled through the Arkansas State Parks system. Reservations can be made through reserve.arkansasstateparks.com, and the park can also be reached by phone for questions on site suitability and rig length. Arkansas state parks open camping reservations 365 days in advance, so a campsite becomes available exactly one year before the arrival date. Weekend reservations require a minimum of two nights, and holiday weekends require three nights. Private parks around Augusta and Searcy, including Shady Oaks RV and Mobile Home Park, Whitney Lane RV Park, Red River RV Park, and Searcy RV Living, are generally booked by calling the office directly. Many lean toward monthly guests, so calling ahead confirms nightly availability, rig length limits, and any pet restrictions before arrival.
