Campgrounds and RV parks near Clarendon, AR

Clarendon sits at the confluence of the Cache and White rivers in the Arkansas Delta, roughly 75 miles east of Little Rock along U.S. Highway 79. The town lies at the southern end of the Cache River National Wildlife Refuge and just north of the Dale Bumpers White River National Wildlife Refuge, giving RV travelers direct access to some of the most intact bottomland hardwood forest remaining in the lower Mississippi River Valley. RV options within a short drive include Dub'l R RV Park and H and G RV Park and Campground for full-hookup convenience close to town, plus Whitney Lane RV Park and Searcy RV Living for longer-stay setups. For a state-park experience with lake frontage, Lone Pine at Mississippi River State Park lies about an hour east near Marianna, inside the St. Francis National Forest. Most visitors come for waterfowl and wildlife. The Cache River refuge is one of the most important wintering areas for ducks in North America, and the White River refuge shelters Arkansas's only native population of black bears, so trip planning tends to revolve around hunting seasons, migration windows, and river levels.

Private RV parks around Clarendon, including Dub'l R RV Park, H and G RV Park and Campground, Whitney Lane RV Park, and Searcy RV Living, are typically booked directly by phone or through the operator's website. Availability tightens sharply during duck season, so reserving several weeks out is advisable from November through January. Mississippi River State Park handles reservations through the Arkansas State Parks system at reserve.arkansasstateparks.com or by calling the park office at 870-295-4040. Check-in and check-out are both at 3:00 p.m., a non-refundable first-night deposit is required, and campsite stays are limited to 14 nights within any 30-day period. Sites at Lone Pine are primitive with no hookups, and campers should register at the visitor center on arrival. Refuge camping on the Dale Bumpers White River NWR has no fee and no reservation system. Stays are limited to fewer than 14 days in any 30-day window, camps must be occupied daily, and campers must pack out all trash.
