Campgrounds and RV parks near West Covina, CA

Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park, the setting for Bonelli Bluffs RV Resort and Campground, offers about nine miles of lakeside trails, fishing, swimming and mountain-biking terrain selected to host mountain-biking events at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Raging Waters, a large regional water park, operates inside the park during the warm season. The Fairplex hosts the LA County Fair each May plus trade and consumer shows year-round, all within walking distance of Fairplex RV Park. Up the East Fork of the San Gabriel River near Camp Williams Resort, visitors fish, swim in cold pools, hike toward the Bridge to Nowhere, and try recreational gold panning in the canyon. Disneyland, Universal Studios, the Rose Bowl and downtown Los Angeles museums are all under an hour's drive in normal traffic.

West Covina has a Mediterranean climate: hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. RV-friendly weather runs essentially year-round in the valley, but each season carries trade-offs. Fairplex RV Park is functional and convenient rather than scenic, with 183 full-hookup sites, a heated pool and a mini-market, useful mainly for event attendance and as a stopover near central Los Angeles attractions. Camp Williams Resort feels different: oak-shaded full-hookup RV sites, tent sites along the river, a small cafe and general store, and a narrow drive in along East Fork Road. The operator specifically warns against routing via Glendora Mountain Road. Cell service is intermittent in the canyon, and summer weekends fill quickly across all of these properties.
