The Santa Ana River Trail runs through Canyon RV Park and connects a long paved corridor from the canyon toward the Pacific at Huntington Beach, making it the most useful single feature for RV families with bikes. Chino Hills State Park offers more than 90 miles of trails across roughly 14,000 acres of grassland and oak and sycamore woodland, with hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding all permitted. Bonelli Bluffs sits on Puddingstone Lake, where guests can fish, swim at the park swim beach, and ride the lakeside trail network. Theme-park day trips to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm are within a short drive, and the Richard Nixon Presidential Library is in Yorba Linda itself.

Southern California's Mediterranean climate makes RV camping near Yorba Linda viable year-round, but each season has different trade-offs. Winter is the wet season but rarely freezing; December highs sit in the mid-60s, and most private parks stay open year-round, while rain can close trails and roads at Chino Hills, which shuts for at least 48 hours after rainfall of more than a quarter inch.

Expect a clear split between full-service private resorts and minimal public sites. Canyon RV Park offers 140 full-hookup RV sites with 30- and 50-amp electric, a pool, five bathhouses, a laundry room, and direct access to the Santa Ana River Bike Trail, with sites that can accommodate rigs up to 45 feet. Bonelli Bluffs has roughly 500 paved full-hookup sites, two pools, and frontage on Puddingstone Lake. Both are gravel or paved and family-oriented. Rolling M Ranch at Chino Hills State Park is the opposite: 20 primitive sites with picnic tables, flush toilets, hot showers, and potable water, but no hookups, no dump station, and no open fires. Cell coverage is weak to nonexistent at Rolling M Ranch but good elsewhere. Freeway noise is audible at some Canyon RV Park sites.
