Campgrounds and RV parks near Clermont, FL

Clermont sits in Lake County about 30 minutes west of Orlando, in a stretch of central Florida known for rolling sandhills and a chain of freshwater lakes. The area functions as a quieter RV base for families visiting Walt Disney World, Universal, and SeaWorld, with a mix of large private resorts and one major state park within a short drive. Campground options split into two categories. Big private resorts like Clerbrook Golf and RV Resort, The Bees RV Resort, Torchlite RV Park, and Stage Stop Campground offer full hookups, pools, laundry, and long-stay sites geared to snowbirds. Lake Louisa State Park, south of town on US-27, provides a natural-setting alternative with lakes, trails, and a swimming beach. Most RV travelers use Clermont as a home base for theme-park days and low-key outdoor time between visits. The location keeps travelers close to Orlando attractions without staying inside the tourist corridor, and puts several state parks and lakes within a short drive of every site.

Lake Louisa State Park reservations run through the Florida State Parks system at floridastateparks.org or 800-326-3521. Florida residents can book up to 11 months in advance and non-residents up to 10 months, and there is a two-night minimum on all reservations. Cabins and RV sites are reservable year-round and go quickly for peak season and holidays, so book as early as the window opens. Private resorts use their own systems. Clerbrook Golf and RV Resort is an Encore property bookable through rvonthego.com or Thousand Trails for members. The Bees RV Resort, Torchlite RV Park, and Stage Stop Campground handle reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. Winter stays at any private resort should be locked in several months out.
