Campgrounds and RV parks near Lady Lake, FL

Lady Lake sits in Lake County in central Florida, just north of Leesburg and adjacent to The Villages retirement community. The area functions as a hub for RV travelers exploring the Harris Chain of Lakes, the Ocklawaha River corridor, and the Ocala National Forest to the north. Level terrain, paved county roads, and quick access from US 27, US 441, and Florida's Turnpike make it straightforward to reach in a rental RV. Camping options range from full-hookup snowbird resorts to a state park campground on the water. Lake Griffin State Park is located two miles north of Leesburg, in Fruitland Park, and 30 miles south of Ocala on U.S. Highway 441, placing it within a short drive of Lady Lake. Recreation Plantation RV Resort and Blue Parrot RV Resort cater to longer stays with pools and clubhouses, while The Grand Oaks RV Resort combines RV sites with an equestrian facility. Rails End Wildwood sits a short drive south along the CR 44 corridor. Most sites in the area are suited to Class A, Class C, and travel-trailer rentals.

State park sites and private resorts use different systems. Reservations at Lake Griffin State Park can be made up to 11 months in advance through the Florida State Parks reservations website or by calling 800-326-3521. A park entry pass is required on arrival. The 11-month rolling window fills quickly for winter weekends, so booking on the release date is often necessary. Private resorts including Recreation Plantation RV Resort, Blue Parrot RV Resort, The Grand Oaks RV Resort, and Rails End Wildwood take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Monthly and seasonal rates are common at the snowbird-oriented resorts, and deposits are usually required at booking. Cancellation policies vary by property, so confirm the terms before finalizing an RV rental.
