Campgrounds and RV parks near Palm Beach, FL

Palm Beach sits on a barrier island along Florida's southeast Atlantic coast, with most RV parks located inland across the Intracoastal Waterway in West Palm Beach, Lake Park, and the western communities near Loxahatchee. The island itself has no RV camping, so travelers base out of nearby parks and drive in to the beaches, dining, and attractions. Close-in options include Vacation Inn Resort, Palm Beach Traveler RV Park, and Juno Beach RV Park, all within a short drive of the coast. Del Raton RV Park sits farther south toward Delray Beach and is useful for travelers splitting time between Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale. West Palm Beach / Lion Country Safari KOA Journey sits about 20 miles inland next to the Lion Country Safari drive-through park, though travelers should confirm its current operating status directly before planning a stay. For state-park camping, Jonathan Dickinson State Park is the largest state park in Southeast Florida, roughly 30 to 40 minutes north in Hobe Sound, offering full-hookup and electric sites on the Loxahatchee River.

Private parks near Palm Beach take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. Winter and holiday weekends fill first, and many snowbird sites are held on long-term contracts, so aim to book several months in advance for December through March stays. For any specific park, including West Palm Beach / Lion Country Safari KOA Journey, check the operator's website for current availability and booking channels before finalizing plans. For state parks, including Jonathan Dickinson State Park, reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance through the Florida State Parks reservation system. Prime waterfront and full-hookup sites are typically claimed the moment the window opens, especially for winter weekends. Cancellations do turn up, so checking regularly in the weeks before a trip can pay off.
